Lord Nibblington Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 Frankly, I'd say it's just a general insult to the club. But nevermind.
Manwell Pablo Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 And we were worried about Fraytts weight
davieG Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 Striker To Train With FoxesCity boss Rob Kelly has today confirmed that Danny Cadamarteri is to train with his squad at their Belvoir Drive base. The former Everton and Sheffield United striker is currently a free agent, despite representing Grays Athletic in their Conference match against York City on Saturday. And Kelly has taken the opportunity to have a look at the 27-year-old frontman, who was part of the Bradford City squad last season. He said: "Danny is coming to train with us and we shall take it from there. Nobody loses anything. "I knew Danny as a younger player when he was at Everton and he had potential. He is a little older and more mature now. "He is just a player who is available and who we will have a look at." http://www.lcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/...~941432,00.html Nice to see you're on the ball again FIAB
Lord Nibblington Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 The merging of these threads ruins my trail joke. Damn you!
Wils Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 Shall we get a song ready for when he starts banging in the goals for us and becomes the next Hero.
mancunianfox Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 Danny Cadamateri - The next (wrong) Andy Johnson???
Sods Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 Shall we get a song ready for when he starts banging in the goals for us and becomes the next Hero. Sniff Sniff Here Sniff Sniff There Danny's sniffing everywhere! Cada-mar-teri clap clap clap clap clap (paddy McCarthy) Cada-mar-teri clap clap clap clap clap Cada-mar-teri- WOHOA Cada-mar-teri- WOHOA He used to snort a line, at school all the time
mancunianfox Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 Belle & Sebastian's Fox in the Snow seems appropriate Fox in the snow Its not as if theyre paying you Fox in the snow Fox in the snow
Daggers Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 Is the title of this thread really appropriate considering his recent problems?
MC Prussian Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 Should have said 122 starts and 87 sub appearences, but thats what it says on soccerbase That's a goal every 10 games. Considering his "once-in-a-lifetime-streak" 9 years ago, that's close to abysmal for a striker... A fat, overpaid 27-year-old STRIKER!!! Joke Of The Year, anyone? Or was it just because he's got a funny name?
ThurmastonFox Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 I don't believe that having ago at a player before he has even played for the club is in order. Maybe, just maybe we might get lucky (god knows we're due some). But people moan if we don't bring players in, people moan if we do bring players in. We can't afford to be picky at the mo...

Maybe, just maybe we might get lucky (god knows we're due some). But people moan if we don't bring players in, people moan if we do bring players in. We can't afford to be picky at the mo... well show us agood example of when we HAVE gone for a fat alleged friend of many vices player who has been washed up and it HAS worked out!!! nathan Blake anyone?
Lord Nibblington Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 I don't believe that having ago at a player before he has even played for the club is in order. Maybe, just maybe we might get lucky (god knows we're due some). But people moan if we don't bring players in, people moan if we do bring players in. We can't afford to be picky at the mo... We can afford to be picky. For example, we wouldn't let me play. Why should we think it's ok to try out someone whose clearly not cut out for this level, just because we lack money? It's not an open invitation for any and all comers to come to Leicester so we can have a look at them.
Webbo Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 it's not costing the the club any money, it's very unlikely that he'll sign, what's the problem?
Simon Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 Cadamarteri and Hume are similar types of players, thy'll do the same thing and occupy the same spaces- and Hume is a better at it. What we really need is a goalscorer, and all this tells me is that Kelly has no faith in Louis Dodds...
Lord Nibblington Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 it's not costing the the club any money, it's very unlikely that he'll sign, what's the problem? The problem is what it tells us about what the club is thinking and doing in regards to new playing staff. If Danny Cadamarteri is the height of our ambition, we're well and truely buggered.
Joe. Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 Can't do any harm I suppose. It's not as if we're paying him. besides, he can't be any worse than the crap we've already got. Barnsley were going to have him just before Ritchie got sacked.

Barnsley were going to have him just before Ritchie got sacked. Probably why he got sacked. What good is he going to do?
l444ry Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 How much further does this club have to sink into the gutter? This is an absolute joke!!! Whatever possesses Kelly's head to think that a player Bradford City give away to a non-league club can offer anything to this club. It beggars belief!! At least Micky Adams signed up to date clapped out players...Heaven knows what category Cadamarteri fits into.

boosmanana Posted 11 December 2006 Posted 11 December 2006 i have no problem with it... if he's good enough we'll keep him, if he's shite, we'll get rid....whats the problem in looking??
Ric Flair Posted 12 December 2006 Posted 12 December 2006 i have no problem with it... if he's good enough we'll keep him, if he's shite, we'll get rid....whats the problem in looking?? It's common sense though. Kelly's track record in the transfer market although brief is piss poor. I can't see it getting any better if he's going to look at players such as Cadamarteri. I cannot remember the last time a player of Danny's ilk that has re-found his form after 7 years, that's how long ago it is since he's even slightly been good enough or fit enough. It's like buying a F reg Ford Sierra that's done 220,000 miles and not been used for over a year due to it being ****ed. Then taking it off the scrap heap to everyone's disbelief, giving it a power wash and chamois leather and expecting it to take you to Gibralatar on your ****in holidays.
The People's Hero Posted 12 December 2006 Posted 12 December 2006 Cadamarteri 'allegedly' likes a cocktail of drugs, 19 pints, a kebab and a fight. All allegedly of course.
