Looks a lovely ground they are playing at.

Think I'm right in saying Lancs won the Championship when they spent a full season there during the recent redevelopment of Old Trafford?

Been a bit of a hoo-ha about their outgrounds this season. Members unhappy they've chosen to play a match at Sedbergh School, a private school in the middle of nowhere (and historically in Yorkshire!), over traditional grounds like Blackpool or Southport.

Good to see a return to outgrounds in general being used this season due to the World Cup. Shame it's not something Leicestershire could look into doing more.

Think they lost a lot of cash playing at Oakham, hence why it sadly no longer happens.

Yeah exactly. Sadly it's a bit of a risk for both the counties and host clubs, so a lot don't bother unless they have to. Hopefully the bigger counties being forced to use more this season and for as long as The Hundred goes on will lead to some good crowds and turn a few heads...

Kibworth could be a possibility, although similar to Oakham I don’t suppose there is a large catchment area for spectators. It’s difficult for Leicestershire to find somewhere to go with a large populous, maybe Hinckley and Nuneaton, whereas Lancashire, Yorkshire, Glamorgan etc can choose from a number of highly populated areas.

Probably better than Oakham's as it's easier to get to from Leicester and Harborough, though public transport isn't great and it's the wrong side of the village for the A6.

Shame Harborough's ground itself is just slightly off where it would need to be to host first class really, although they've just finished upgrading the score box to digital this week.

Nuneaton is in Warwickshire they used to play in Nuneaton at the griff and Cotton ground

Glamorgan are basically Wales. They often played in Colwyn Bay in the north of the country.

Oakham School though is hardly the most accessible place. Typical county really. When Lancs are using Liverpool or Blackpool or Yorks with Scarborough. We pick somewhere which is a difficult sell.

It's good for the train though. Only a short walk from the station and could attract people from the Peterborough/ Stamford area too.

Actually got me thinking if somewhere like Lincoln would be worth the effort ?!?

Lincoln over 60 miles from Leicester sure our members would just love a round journey of almost 120 miles to watch the foxes play in a County with no connection whatsoever with Leicester

On that are we still playing second eleven 'home games' in other counties?

Agreed on that score but just trying to think outside the box to give county some much needed dollar.

Think playing at a seaside town could entice a few. Notts have played at Cleethorpes before I think?

Not sure how many seaside town grounds in range would be up to scratch though. I played at Sheringham once and that left a lot to be desired.

Can't watch it today because Lancashire's live stream seems to be broken. Might be a blessing in disguise.

We gave their tail an absolute boatload of runs with some really loose bowling at times.

We are now 16/2. Where is the application?
