Interesting read. Had forgotten that his career effectively ended that day. Such a shame. Hopefully, if a similar situation occurred today, the player would get more help. 
 

Was at the game and rightly or wrongly the only thing that sticks in my mind was that over. Afterwards went to a pub up the road and watched England win in Germany.

He's a Nottingham boy and like Azad and Mike a product of the Notts academy had a falling out at Notts and joined us when he was 14

Strange one really you'd think Walker would get a game if we are signing him up. Not sure what Scott Steel has to do to get a game in the RL50? Surely a better option than Rhodes?
