Respectable finishes in both, in the end ... well compared to the last few years anyway ... 6th in the T20 and 4th in the One Day Cup.

They aren't true quarter-finals with eight teams- the top three in each group went through so second and third play each other then the first placed teams start in the semi-finals.

Seems ridiculous to me when so little county cricket in August. Why bother slimming down the qualification numbers in the one day trophy? 

 

I mean just go with top 4 in both groups. Give teams something to strive for.

I think there are the Blast final rounds after the one day finals. Sadly it’s the penalty for not qualifying for either
