Are you having a fooking giraffe?! We should snap their hands off for a million quid. Yes he's got promise, but none of our managers have been able to get any consistency out off him, we're better of taking the money. It possible Martin can man manage him into a Premiership star but that's fine let him do it because I don't think Olly's gunna be able to.

I wonder how many of the 'get rid of the tw@t' brigade will be on here in a year calling the club for selling all the best players if he's a success in the premier league.

But that's exactly it, he only performs when he wants to, This season he's had a few good games, I could count them on 1 hand though, last season he was awful all through, and the season before that (The season he broke into the first team) he was awesome, one of our best players, but thats been his best season and about your lot.

If he only performs in a handful of games for us regardless of if he goes to Villa or any other club and plays brilliant what use is he to us?

The Wolves/Ipswich game I thought he'd turned a corner, and then he's back to his lacklustre performances against Charlton and reported to have done the same in the QPR game.

He has potential i'll be the first to admit, He doesn't often use it for us though, If he not going to use it for us take the Million now and run before other clubs watch him and his price decreases or turns clubs away straight away. Either that or he needs to take a good look at himself and sort himself out.

It's just not possible.

Stearman could not keep consistency if his Porsche depended on it.

I know friends of Stearman. Apparently, he wants fans to stop boo-ing him, and also he is only on 3,000-per-week.

ONLY 3,00 a week, however does he manage to live on such poor wages!

Note the sarcasm!!!! :S

I want him to start using the potential he's got consistently...He can make the first move though, Fans will follow.

His performance against Charlton wasn't poor by any stretch of the imagination. He was man of the match or thereabouts in the two games before that, if he drops a tiny bit thats only to be expected. He still had just as much energy, attacking drive and improved defending, it just didn't all come off for him.

Absolutely. For people to throw the QPR game against him, the entire team (with the exception of Howard) were poor. We could have Cafu in his prime playing right back, he would have played poorly, with everyone around him playing abysmally. He's becoming a bit of a target for the boo-boys at the moment, so everytime he has a bad game, he becomes a bit of scapegoat, rather unfairly.

The fact the lad has the potential to play well (which we've seen in a number of games) clearly shows he has ability. I'd like to think, under a settled manager and in a better team, he'll perform consistently.

£3,000 a week, you said 'only'?

That means he earns gross £156,000 and net of almost £100,000!!

I would love that wage, and unless your super rich, then you would aswell

You won't change em. It's a James Chambers thing. They're convinced Chambers is a better right back - this guy who has abundant energy, speed, enthusiasm and commitment as a defender/midfield player but who's never scored or made a goal since he arrived here.

It doesn't bother me. I think Stearman should play centre-half anyway. But until it happens they won't be happy and when it happens they'll quietly ignore Chambers' lacked of attacking contribution if he does his job well, simply as a defender. Just like Nils or even Clarke really in his brief spell.

But, for me, if we're going to win things, our full-backs have to be able to defend and attack. This idea of attacking as a unit and defending as a unit shouldn't only apply to forwards.

We shouldn't sell Stearman.

He tries his heart out every time and works really hard because he is a local leicester lad.

Plus he is quite good aswell

Do you think this is the same Stearman fan that was in here a few weeks ago? The one that couldn't stop going on about him.

I've very rarely seen Stearman try his heart out. He may be local but I doubt very much he gives a shit about how we're doing.

He's just an over paid snob.
