As an aside, one of the best TV shows of all time. Think I even prefer it to the Wire, seriously.

The Killing is superb, highly recommend the Danish version to anyone. The American one seems a little predictably dumbed down. Plus I'm told they cut season one in half which is a little unforgivable as part of what makes it special is it's depth.

It's not for fans of turn-your-brain-off nonsense tv.

Seasons one and three are absolutely spectacular, two is very good but the weakest of the three.

Sofie Grabol's Sarah Lund is one of the best characters on TV, which is another problem with the remake - she isn't in it!
