It could've been for a cultural reason.

Remember working at the LRI and when I had kindly asked a relative to wear a face mask during COVID-19, they said they can't as the "masks itches their face and nose"..

Shouldn't be a valid reason.

Unfortunately, bugs, germs, viruses, call them what you will, don't give a damn what culture/mindset you are/have.

This is especially important in a clinical environment where, by definition, there are vulnerable people.

What cultural reason?

Face masks should again, be worn in Leicester hospitals.

A staff member was telling Mrs. FFF yesterday, how an entire visiting family (whatever happened to just 2 visitors only btw?) refused to do so.

In such circumstances, I think they should be made to leave, no exceptions, leave.

I realise that a singular visitor could, conceivably, be exempt but not several members.

What made this occasion worse, was one of this 'group' was coughing and sputtering during the visit.

Selfish sods.

Just silly behaviour isn't it.

Makes zero sense not to when people are getting sick and hospitals are overrun. Out of all the bull covid rules that came and went, I think wearing a mask was the least bothersome of the lot. Only bothered the people that wanted to be bothered imo.

I think Kier and Elon are more often referred to by their surnames only.

Also it seems those that the public like are referred to by first names such as Trent, and those that are generally disliked are referred to by their surname like Putin, Trump, Musk etc.

The LA fire coverage.

We've had special programmes on BBC 2, CH4 n CH5 too.

I mean it's unfortunate for them but you've thought a royal had died with the amount of coverage.

Agreed.

It's newsworthy, but there is far greater loss of life and property in other parts of the world through natural consequences every day.

It should, however, be used as context alongside the recent floods in the UK to demonstrate how the world is changing, and why.

Agreed - what we really need is more news about the lead singer of The Wanted.

I know Clint Mansell (PWEI front man and movie composer) from another Wolves forum, and his house is amongst it all too. Though he's been untouched so far apparently.

They are making a big thing about re-housing the residents of Palisades area while distinctly forgetting that a few miles away on skid row people have  needed re-housing for the best part of the past century.

Today it’s two things.

On my road I have not one but two idiots it seems…

One sits in his Jag for 10 mins in the morning with his engine on waking up the whole street, not leaving until his car has reached the right temp etc.

Secondly we have someone who has their INTERIOR reverse beeper on so loud that they can hear it in the dordogne!

I’m glad to hear that, very talented man! I was a huge Poppies fan in the day.
