Don't agree with that. We might put flags against their names but they dont represent their nation as such, they represent themselves. I 100% agree with kicking Russian teams out of competitions. These are teams sanctioned by Russian sports organisation, are players selected to join together to try and win on behalf of Russia. The same isn't true for these individual athletes. She's representing herself, not Russia, just as Alcaraz is representing himself not Spain.

Yeah, if Wimbledon are banning Russian players from competing, then they should also be banning US and Israeli ones (and that's just the top of the list) next.

I've been saying elsewhere that GB are very good at producing individual sportspeople across a variety of sports that are very good at being mediocre nearly-rans. A few like Murray and Hamilton being the exception that proves the rule.

No wonder Sabalenka was worried .

Given a very tough match .

Fritz seemed to be well on top for 2 sets then KK came back into well but not enough .

Anisimova dominant for a set and z half but what a good tie break which could have gone either way .
