Can I ask why she seems unlikeable? Admittedly it's my first time watching her but she seems fine. Seemed genuinely concerned when raducanu slipped and hurt her self. Granted she's a big old unit who's totally focused on winning but can't see what there is to dislike.

Just something I can't quite put my finger on tbh.

Perhaps if she does win here, the post match interview might change my mind on that - open to the idea.

I predict that most of you have no idea what you're talking about :)

On this occasion it's bloody awesome to be wrong. :D

But there's a long way to go.

Also, minor gripe: why the Beeb and other associated entities insist on naming the place where people hang out at Wimbledon after a well-meaning and mannered guy that didn't make it to the top (or even close) is beyond me.

GB does seem to have a thing about graceful losers rather than efficient winners.

She can still win this set but it won’t be easy (as we thought)

I never thought Raducanu would ever make it back to playing good stuff, so I’m happy to say i am proven wrong there. Hope she can continue this now, regardless of what happens here. She is playing some quality tennis

I think I can answer that one.

Henman was the first British player challenging in a meaningful way, at the same time that it became a place to gather and watch.

Yeah, either way this will have been a performance she can be proud of.

Yeah, that's understandable as a reason for naming it that at the time.

I'm just unsure as to why it would remain so now.

Because it is alliterative, it trips off the tongue, and it annoys you.

As they go, this is a rather strange sentence.

It’s the only celeb I’ve seen them show and they both love science

Whatever happens you can't argue Raducano hadn't competed. Shame she hasn't been able to follow up any breaks by winning her own serve.

Tough to face number 1 because i think she goes deep against most on this form

Serve breaks aren't that important in women's tennis because of the lack of power. Raducanu can't take advantage of a break, she needs to fight rallies serving or not.

Ha, yes.

I do think Murray actually gets less recognition among some fans than Henman does, despite achieving far, far more, which doesn't seem right.
