A MONTH-OLD baby boy was fighting for life last night after being raped and battered.

He suffered a cardiac arrest brought on by his multiple horrific injuries.

In one of Britain's worst ever child abuse cases, every rib was fractured and the boy also suffered a broken arm, broken collar bone, punctured lungs and severe bruising.

There was also a sexual injury and internal wounds suggesting rape. A 46-year-old man was under arrest last night on suspicion of rape and grievous bodily harm. A woman was also in custody.

The child was taken to Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford, Kent, on Thursday. He had a heart attack there and was transferred to King's College Hospital in South London, where he was on a life support machine last night.

A source said: "These are the worst injuries the doctors and police have seen in someone so young. How the baby is alive is a miracle. He is still in a very serious condition and it's touch and go whether he survives."

The suspects are being held at North Kent police station.

A police spokeswoman said: "A baby was admitted to hospital on Thursday. Its condition is critical but stable.

"Police are currently investigating. A man and woman have been arrested."

My mind just can't comprehend anything like this. I can't grasp something like this happening. I hope to God this baby is okay and goes on to lead an amazing life.

To the person that did this, i hope you suffer horrendously for the rest of your life in pain and anguish.

A female passenger was left fighting for life after being struck by a concrete slab hurled from a bridge onto a busy main road. The woman suffered severe head and chest injuries when the slab smashed through the windscreen of the car at 10.20pm on Thursday.

Police said they were treating the attack, which took place from the West Hanningfield bridge on the A12, near Chelmsford, Essex, as attempted murder. The woman, from Harold Hill, Essex, was rushed to Chelmsford's Broomfield Hospital suffering life-threatening injuries, including multiple fractures, chest and head injuries.

The driver of the vehicle escaped with minor cuts.

Police are linking the incident to a similar attack less than an hour earlier, in which a car was struck by a block of concrete. The passenger and driver escaped injury but were left shaken and upset by the attack.

East of England Ambulance service spokesman Gary Sanderson said: 'First and foremost this is a despicable act to carry out.

'We believe the concrete was thrown from a bridge across the carriageway when it collided with the car entering the windscreen and hitting the woman'

'On arrival of the ambulance crews, the woman was found with serious chest and head injuries and following rapid treatment, stabilisation and immobilisation by the paramedics and doctor, she was taken to an awaiting trauma team at Broomfield Hospital.'

An Essex Police spokesman said: 'Detectives are linking both incidents and treating both as attempted murder.

'Both bridges have been taped off while forensic investigations continue"

This was absolutely fvcking disgusting.

Suspended sentence for repeatedly kicking someone when they are down and just because 'they couldn't handle their drink'. Fucking bizarre decision from the judge there.

It doesn't even matter that they are Muslim. Religion/race shouldn't really come in to consideration because there are plenty of non-Muslims who don't drink at all. Anyway, I digress. I can't get over the fact that some people for similar attacks can be jailed for 5 years but then these 4 get away with suspended sentences. Unbelievable.

And at 2m 10s on the video, I wonder what the girl was going so crazy about to the police officers.

Ridiculous decision. I cannot believe people can do this and still get let off.

And another thing, they shout 'get the white slag'. Isn't that racist? I'm not being horrible but people always think it is white people being racist all the time, when it is the other way around just as bad.

But they get let off for all that, stupid.

During the hearing, James Bide-Thomas, prosecuting, said Ambaro Maxamed, who started the violence, had called Miss Page a "white bitch" during the incident.

However, the women, who are all Somalian Muslims, were not charged with racial aggravation.

As long as we getting that evil John Terry and the train woman locked away I suppose :unsure:

Exactly my point. I'm not racist, or being racist (and if I offend anyway then I don't mean too), but both that women on the train and John Terry were done for racist remarks - as many people have been before. But, it always appears to me that when it is the the other way around, and here we see these Muslims calling this girl "white slag and white bitch", nothing happens! No charge; small or big. It's ridiculous.

Lee Hughes. Arrested on suspicion of sexual assault on Saturday night. This after serving 3 years for causing death by dangerous driving.

Obviously he hasn't been charged as yet but even if he's innocent of these charges then he's still a cnut. If he's guilty then he's even more of a twat than I gave him credit for.

Buddy its just the usual double standards that this country is now famed for. Sad though, i agree with your point entirely above, it should not be about race/religion or whatever but more about the silly aggression and assault by those involved just simply should not be tolerated

Absolute cvnts of our time? People who would steal copper cabling from a hospital, thereby causing operations to be cancelled and resulting in £20,000 worth of repair work.

Shocking.

There were reports recently of people stealing copper gas pipes from houses in Jarrom street leaving the gas leaking and liable to ignite at anytime.

Doesn't surprise me, as most (sterotyping but fook it) are young blokes who went straight out of school straight in to the army. They've been taught from day one to hate the enemy etc. Most of these blokes barely have a brain cell between them.

Similar with the Australian army to a lesser extent, some of them are absolute meat heads. Thick as shit and with out the army would be a labour or dole bludger. I've meet many blokes that have come from the Army, Airforce and Navy. Out of about 9 or 10 blokes i know or have known, only 2 of them are not brain dead.
