Fryatt to Rams?

Hopefully by the time the transfer window opens up our promotion prospects will be a little clearer than they are right now. If someone does come in for Fryatt in the January window I would let him go as I believe that this division is his limit.

If we are still in this position in January, and he's scored more goals, we shouldn't sell him.

I think this is his level though.

Yeah, you've got it right imo.

No point selling in January, when there'd be still half a season left.

Wait for a decent offer in the summer and take that.

I would say keep him till the end of the season to help get us back up and then if we have offers in the summer seell him on and invest in some capable of scoring regularly in the championship.

The dilemma is - is he good enough for the Championship?

Based on last season's performances - a resounding No! But that was when he was unfit under some inept management in a team that didn't know how to pass and play football and with a club devoid of all spirit albeit against superior opposition to this season.

He's now scoring goals in what can only be described as a prolific manner but still apparently missing some sitters but don't all strikers do that?

If he's deemed not good enough for the Championship and we're still top or there abouts with Fryatt still maintaining his scoring rate then a big decision will be needed.

Would Mandaric take the cash and hope that Pearson can replace him with a Championship standard stiker or will he hang on to him get promoted and then absorb any transfer fee lost when moving him on.

Of course if Pearson thinks he's good enough for the Championship then all that is needed is to offer him a new contract.

I think I'll let Pearson sort this one out and sit firmly on the fence.

Bit of an easy story for a shit rag of a paper to print isn't it??! As Mattys prolific this season, it would be easy for them to assume one of our local rivals in a higher league want him. With Milan in charge we dont have to sell for the sake of it anymore...

I don't really think he's good enough for the Championship to be honest - I'd love him to stay and prove us wrong, but meh.

Problem is - he's the only striker regularly knocking them in for us, if we get rid of him we need a replacement that can hack it. It doesn't have to be a multi-million signing, look at Jason Scotland last year! But a player that's guaranteed to come in and carry on where Matty left off.

I wouldn't cry my eyes out if he left in July.

One example of this being S****horpe a couple of years ago - sold Keogh in January and brought in Jermaine Beckford on loan to help get them promoted.
