Nick Posted 30 December 2009 Posted 30 December 2009 Liverpool will make the top 4.As every year, teams such as Spurs, Villa, Manchester City, will somehow fade away, because at the end of the day, they don't have enough quality like Liverpool. I'm not sure this is true this year. Spurs and Man City have quality too this season and Liverpool have no depth in squad and no money. If Torres sprains his ankle or Gerrard get's, 'man - flu' it's the Uefa Cup all the way.......... I think the tide has been trying to turn without success for the last few seasons - I see things more likely to change this season than in the past. I can't see past Chelsea winning as I don't think Man U will have the goals in them but they will miss Drogba over the next month. I'll go for: 1. Chelsea 2. Man U 3. Arsenal 4. Man City 5. Liverpool 6. Spurs I'm looking forward to seeing Mancini's January transfer dealings because I think he has a good shot at fourth.
Father Ted Posted 30 December 2009 Posted 30 December 2009 Liverpool will make the top 4.As every year, teams such as Spurs, Villa, Manchester City, will somehow fade away, because at the end of the day, they don't have enough quality like Liverpool. Rubbish. Just look at their bench, the likes of Spearing, Dossena, N'Gog, Pacheco, Darby, Kyrgiakos, etc. That's quality? I would go as far as to say that OUR (not Forest) bench is better than that. Liverpool are a two man team of Gerrard and Torres, if one of them gets injured, they're in trouble, if both of them get injured, it's a disaster! Also, look at the managers. I rate Mancini, O'Neill and Redknapp all higher than the Spanish faggot. Liverpool: Gerrard, Torres and Johnson. Villa: Dunne, Young, Milner, Downing, Heskey and Agbonlahor. Man City: Given, Richards, Robinho, Tevez, Adebayor, De Jong, Bellamy, Santa Cruz. Tottenham: Woodgate, Defoe, Crouch, Keane, Lennon, Jenas and Huddlestone. Apart from those 3 Liverpool players, the rest are VERY average with a shite manager. The other teams have more quality throughout their squad. I hope Liverpool fail and I hope they fail badly. I also hope that Everton knock them out of the Europa League.
davieG Posted 30 December 2009 Posted 30 December 2009 Is Megson a gonner? http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_5812176,00.html

C-man Posted 30 December 2009 Posted 30 December 2009 Spurs and Man City both have better squads than Liverpool. For Benitez to claim that they'll definitely finish in the top 4 is lunacy.

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 30 December 2009 Posted 30 December 2009 I can't remember what thread it was in, but my surprise packages for this season were Bolton and West Ham, thought Liverpool would've won the league too. Not even joking. Questioning my life.
Suffolk_fox Posted 30 December 2009 Posted 30 December 2009 Odds for Mark Hughes to replace him? Deal already done maybe?

Unit Posted 30 December 2009 Posted 30 December 2009 Can't help but feel that Hughes should be aiming higher than Bolton, obviously not a top 4 job but better than Bolton. Steve Mcclaren?
jonthefox Posted 30 December 2009 Posted 30 December 2009 megson sacked eh! could not have happened to a nicer bloke..
StanSP Posted 30 December 2009 Posted 30 December 2009 Can't help but feel that Hughes should be aiming higher than Bolton, obviously not a top 4 job but better than Bolton. Steve Mcclaren? That's what I thought. Man City to Bolton is definitely a step down.
