davieG Posted 22 February 2010 Posted 22 February 2010 Foxes' star Andy King has been called up to the Wales squad to face Sweden at the Liberty Stadium next month. King has made three appearances for John Toshacks side, the most recent being in the 3-0 win against Scotland in November. King has made 31 appearances for Leicester season and has scored four goals. The midfielder has been in impressive form in recent weeks, as part of a three man midfield alongside Matty Oakley and Richie Wellens. http://www.lcfc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10274~1973945,00.html
Mikey Posted 22 February 2010 Posted 22 February 2010 Deserved. Our best player imo (except Tunchev but he's crippled).
Guest Bilo Posted 22 February 2010 Posted 22 February 2010 Congrats and well done to the lad. Mr Consistent in the middle of the field and for me, our best centre-mid by a street. Deserved.
bluebeau Posted 22 February 2010 Posted 22 February 2010 Well done to AK, he deserves the call up, hope he has a good game for Wales. On the subject of Wales, I am pleased to see that his Welsh colleague , Nicky Adams is back at City after his loan spell at.......... Orient? I would like to see NP give the lad some time on the pitch. He looked really good in early season when he was being selected by NP. What went wrong?
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 22 February 2010 Posted 22 February 2010 Well done to him, he has really deserved it.
Corky Posted 22 February 2010 Posted 22 February 2010 Pleased for him, always good to see our players getting international call-ups.
orangecity23 Posted 22 February 2010 Posted 22 February 2010 *Reads Topic title. I'll get my coat. Seriously though, congrats to Kingy, always nice to see a City player get international recognition.

Thracian Posted 23 February 2010 Posted 23 February 2010 Entirely deserved. So often Kingy is the cement that holds our team together - the one player cool enough and competent enough to get the ball down and keep passing it in even the trickiest situations. And the guy who fills all the gaps when others are doing their own stuff and perhaps making mistakes. His durability and reliability are big bonuses - I doubt he's been booked more than once or twice in his entire first team career.
C-man Posted 23 February 2010 Posted 23 February 2010 Well done to him, he has really deserved it. King hasnt been mentioned!?! Will King be mentioned before HT? IS KING EVEN fooking PLAYING?!? King, barely been mentioned and would add more of an attacking threat with him off. Weapon.
Craig Posted 23 February 2010 Posted 23 February 2010 [ripping peterborofox] Fully deserved Kingy, been our most consistent performer this season. Whilst some idiots may think he adds nothing to the side, they'd soon change their minds if we had to go without him for a while.
Fosse Boy Posted 23 February 2010 Posted 23 February 2010 *Reads Topic title. Weapon. I would say great detective work, but it really wasn't that difficult.

Ozwin Posted 23 February 2010 Posted 23 February 2010 It seems like everyone always moans about him being invisible and now he gets a callup everyone thinks it's deserved. Weird one. I do think it's deserved mind, but he hasn't been as great this season.

Trav Le Bleu Posted 23 February 2010 Posted 23 February 2010 Or did I misunderstand the thread title?
Finnegan Posted 23 February 2010 Posted 23 February 2010 Let's hope he actually gets on the pitch, first. (Or perhaps not, if you want a Wales win. )
Guest Gist Posted 25 February 2010 Posted 25 February 2010 King hasn't been the goal threat this season but still does a very tidy job even if he's hardly noticable, he does the simple things spot on. Fair play to him
Corky Posted 25 February 2010 Posted 25 February 2010 King hasn't been the goal threat this season but still does a very tidy job even if he's hardly noticable, he does the simple things spot on. Fair play to him The fact he doesn't dive in to tackles, play lovely, 40-yard passes over the top and do flicks and tricks a lot means he sometimes isn't noticed that much. However, that's part of the appeal for me. He's not reckless, he keeps it simple and contribute some goals, usually very tidy finishes.
Collymore Posted 3 March 2010 Posted 3 March 2010 The games on SS2 with King on the bench Also some links on the net http://www.myp2p.eu/broadcast.php?matchid=...amp;part=sports you never know he may get 10 mins
