Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 Very o9dd. Who are they going ot get any better? and everyone knows they are a yo yo club so is it the end of the world if they go down? I'd be disappointed if I wwas a WBA fan.
Babylon Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 He's done a great job for them, what are they playing at?
FoxyPV Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 Nonsensical decision. They're on a bad run but easily have the team to stay up.
Finnegan Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 And why do it after losing away to one of the best teams in the league?
Edmund Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 He's done a great job for them, what are they playing at? This. Stupidest sacking of the season so far. There's got to be more to it than results hence the gardening leave. It's amazing how quickly a managers stock can change so drastically. A few months ago everyone was wanking over West Brom after their superb start to the season and rightly so.
MikeyT Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 Very odd one. I thought he'd done a great job with them.
Edmund Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 Gardening leave always means there's more to it than just poor results/league position.
m00nie Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 stupid decision.. as someone said surely must be more to it than we know.... how did shef wednesday get on yesterday, maybe megsons ready to jump ship already..
Guest BlueBrett Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 Did not see that one coming. They must have somebody already lined up to takeover?
Stevosevic Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 Stupid decision, but wouldn't be surprised to see Lambert go there.
cambridgefox Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 Gardening leave always means there's more to it than just poor results/league position. Stupid decision, they are not expected to do well in reality, survival is a good season. Gardening leave perhaps he just has a messy garden!
Fox92 Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 Ridiculas, and quite disgraceful. I think he has done fairly well considering it's his first time managing in the Premiership. West Brom have beaten Arsenal and Everton away. Its not like they are rock bottom though
Corky Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 They're not down, they've got a real chance of staying up, there must be more to this than meets the eye.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 Hope they go down with Blackpool.
Mickey O'Neil Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 First thought was Sven. I don't *think* he'd go, you never know though. Woy Hodgson is a fans favorite though. Please.
ajthefox Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 First thought was Sven. I don't *think* he'd go, you never know though. Woy Hodgson is a fans favorite though. Please. He ain't going anywhere.
tartanowl Posted 6 February 2011 Posted 6 February 2011 maybe megsons ready to jump ship already.. I can't believe they've sacked him. It's crazy. West Brom must be surely be looking at survival as an objective this season. As for Megson he's a legend and a fans favourite there. Come on West Brom you know it makes sense.
DB11 Posted 7 February 2011 Posted 7 February 2011 He was probably fuming at lack of funds during January and offered an ultimatum or something.
leicesterfox86 Posted 8 February 2011 Posted 8 February 2011 He was probably fuming at lack of funds during January and offered an ultimatum or something. Saw someone at the club saying stuff like "the new man will have to be willing to work with our director of football" etc, etc so it seems like he wasn't that popular. According to this Premier League tips article, Steve McClaren could be on his way in. That would put a huge amount of pressure on a man who still hasn't fully rebuilt his reputation in this country. Could backfire massively.
MC Prussian Posted 10 February 2011 Posted 10 February 2011 Tony Kaye, ManU fan, commenting for the Observer on his team's 2-2 draw with West Brom back in October 2010: "... West Brom deserved the draw and I wouldn't be surprised if they were challenging for a Europa place. Di Matteo has West Brom sorted and playing good football." How things change within three months...
