Happy Fox Posted 11 February 2011 Posted 11 February 2011 According to Fanhouse House Percy he thinks that http://twitter.com/FanhousePercy #Barnsley, #Doncaster, #Hull & Sheffield Wednesday all trying to sign #Leicester defender Jack Hobbs on loan I would prefer him to go to Barnsley out of those teams mentioned.
MC Prussian Posted 12 February 2011 Author Posted 12 February 2011 Hobbs is supposed to sign on loan for Hull next week. Stringer just said so on BBC Radio Leicester.
JamesLCFC Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Ian Stringer Jack Hobbs to sign for Hull on Monday #lcfc I believe.
bridlington Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Evening all, hull fan here. Just heard your BBC fella reckons hobbs is on his way. Quite chuffed from what ive seen of him. Much chance of getting him permanently? Suppose if you go up there might be better chance for us. Watching your boys tonight and I'd say very decent chance of that as I'm impressed! Oh and thank you for an outstanding management set up and mr Matty fryatt, too

Not sure about your chances i think it will depend on our own situation.

Babylon Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Ian Stringer Jack Hobbs to sign for Hull on Monday #lcfc I believe. Why the hell are we helping a rival, I just don't understand it. I'd rather he rotted in the bloody reserves. But, I suppose our attitude is sod those below us we're aiming at them above us. Oh and thank you for an outstanding management set up You lot have changed your tune!!!!
Leicfox Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Ian StringerSven confirmed that Jack Hobbs wants to go to Hull City and he's happy for him to do so on loan.

What a quite appaling attitude you have towards a player that has been so monumental for Leicester the past 2 seasons. Disgusting.

ballsooo Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 can't really see why anyone would be that disappointed with this. gives the lad a chance to go out and play regularly and come back to us a better player. after seeing bamba, mee and a little bit of bruma tonight i can't see hobbs getting a look in, so let's let him go out on loan. it's good for us and the lad, so i'm all for it. good luck to the lad, and let's hope he plays well, gets his confidence back and comes back to us overall a better player.
bridlington Posted 12 February 2011 Posted 12 February 2011 Off the top of my head apart from you lot and those horrible sods down the m62 we've still to play all the top 11 so I can see where Sven is coming from. For what it's worth I think the dreadful start as cost us.

For what it's worth I think the dreadful start as cost us. was a bit unsure about this but I suppose the above may actually bode quite well for us if Hobbs hits some form. It does worry me that he is back with NP though, he'll no doubt enjoy playing there and I'd hate for us to let him go on a permanent in summer because I don't think anyone can deny Hobbs has potential to go beyond the championship.

I can if it means he's staying here but on the bench as backup. And unfortunatly I'm sure if you asked him he'd want to play first team football in the championship rather than bench warming whether it be in the Championship or Premiership. I feel sorry for him (and Waghorn - but that another story) because they are good players however we now have the power to get better players, also should we really be feeling sorry for them? They're getting paid well, and if the shoe was on the other foot and they were just leaving us would they feel sorry for us the fans or would they just move on?
lcfc_jme Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 What's a Matt Fryatt? THE Messiah; a God amongst men and performer of notable miracles such as gaining weight, looking disinterested and missing one-on-ones.
MPH Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 What a quite appaling attitude you have towards a player that has been so monumental for Leicester the past 2 seasons. Disgusting. Think you missed his point completly. His attitude wasnt towards Hobbs but towards helping Hull. right now its looking good for us, but if teams like Hull are getting players that will help them and suite their style, then it will make it more difficult for us...... will mean more decent teams going for the same play off spots.... So he would rather he stay with us, even if it means Hobbs doesnt play. Babs' affinity is to Leicester City not Hobbs. surely that makes sense?

Yes it makes sense, but his exact point was ''Id rather he rot in the reverses' which I think is an unacceptable comment towards a player that has been pivotal for us the last 2 years,
Bettsj2 Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 Hull are playing well and winning games already. Having Hobbs in the team wont change a thing.
Babylon Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 Yes it makes sense, but his exact point was ''Id rather he rot in the reverses' which I think is an unacceptable comment towards a player that has been pivotal for us the last 2 years, Jesus you are a bit sensitive aren't you. I only care about lcfc, if Hobbs going to hull helped them and we missed out on the play offs because of it then I'd be hugely pissed off. If the other option is him having to sit in the reserves til the summer then I know which one I'd prefer.

If the other option is him having to sit in the reserves til the summer then I know which one I'd prefer. You're contradicting yourself Babs. I'm pretty sure last season I was arguing with you over the fact that we shouldn't have loaned DJ Campbell to Blackpool. Yes we made the playoffs but his goals helped them to get there but you argued that it wasn't solely down to him and it had no effect on our final standing. So what's the difference? Surely if Hull make the playoffs it's not all down to Hobbs and like you said last year, others teams results have no hinderance on our promotion chances as it's ultimately down to how many points we pick up. Make your mind up
orangecity23 Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 I'd much rather he went to Doncaster or S****horpe on loan. They'd have little chance of affording to buy him in the summer, and they are both unlikely to get in the way of our play off push. Also, they are both likeable clubs, and Doncaster play nice football, so it would have some benefits of getting Hobbs more used to a passing style. Also, neither club is ****ing Hull City. Don't like 'em one bit.

If we'd played Blackpool in the play offs you might have had an argument but we didn't. If Blackpool hadn't made the play offs then another team would've. What's the difference?

Surely if Hull make the playoffs it's not all down to Hobbs and like you said last year, others teams results have no hinderance on our promotion chances as it's ultimately down to how many points we pick up. Make your mind up Firstly right at the beginning I said Campbell should never have been sent to anyone near us in the league, the same as I believe any of our players shouldn't, it could seriously back fire. It didn't have an effect on us last year though, we made the playoffs and never played them. The scenario of Hull finishing 6th and us finishing 7th (which is what i'm talking about) is nothing like the DJ Campbell situation. So I don't know how you think it's contradiction.
