Maybes Posted 5 April 2011 Posted 5 April 2011 Hmmm Reading have won 7 in a row.... so.. its possible then, oh...and they arent as good as us. There are 11 teams currently better than us and they are one of them.
ozleicester Posted 5 April 2011 Posted 5 April 2011 There are 11 teams currently betterin a better position than us and they are one of them.
Matt Posted 5 April 2011 Posted 5 April 2011 Only ourselves to blame after 1 win in 7. Don't be stupid! It was the ref's fault....It was the ref for the next game that hasn't even been played fault....It was other teams winning (How dare they!) fault...erm getting desperate now, what else can we blame - anyone but our own form
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 5 April 2011 Posted 5 April 2011 bugger season over!!! Never mind still a City fan, always a City fan, blue blood running thru my veins and all that

Rich Fox Posted 5 April 2011 Posted 5 April 2011 There are 11 teams currently better than us and they are one of them. How many of Readings players would get in our side? and can you name them?
Donut Posted 5 April 2011 Posted 5 April 2011 How many of Readings players would get in our side? and can you name them? Theres a few id have Definitely take Matt Mills, definitely take Kebe, definitely take Shane Long, and id probably take Jobi Macanuff too
cc_star Posted 5 April 2011 Posted 5 April 2011 Oh well. Let's still give it our all, good to end on a high to give momentum into next season! We mustn't forget how bad our start was, promotion was always gonna be a long shot! Our start was 1 win in 9 We're currently 1 win in 7, lets hope Sven halts this slide before the comparison is equal
Tuna Posted 5 April 2011 Posted 5 April 2011 Its over another season in this division, would have been delighted with this in the dark few months of Sousa, but its over we have no chance of making playoffs.
Maybes Posted 5 April 2011 Posted 5 April 2011 How many of Readings players would get in our side? and can you name them? A better team on paper wins you nothing.
m00nie Posted 5 April 2011 Posted 5 April 2011 I know I'm usually positive... if recent posts are positive id hate to see you on a downer
surrifox Posted 6 April 2011 Posted 6 April 2011 back around february every footy pundit was saying we were certs for promotion, Sven to take the premier league by storm etc etc (after our 7 game run) - when I read some of that I knew we were ****ed
Corky Posted 6 April 2011 Posted 6 April 2011 Still want a good end to the season, starting on Saturday.
lestajigs Posted 6 April 2011 Posted 6 April 2011 If we can win our next two home games, the beat reading away, it will all change again
Aeropars Posted 6 April 2011 Posted 6 April 2011 Not a chance for me. Cracking effort but our start to the compaign was such a problem. I'm banking on a top 3 finish next season though. Sven has shown he can make some fantastic signings so I expect an exciting close season.

I'm fairly optimistic but it's definitely going to be no walkover!
The Doctor Posted 6 April 2011 Posted 6 April 2011 If we can win our next two home games, the beat reading away, it will all change again exaclty - everyones saying it's over but this time next week we could be 1 point of the play-offs with our next fixture against the side in 6th.
shen Posted 6 April 2011 Posted 6 April 2011 exaclty - everyones saying it's over but this time next week we could be 1 point of the play-offs with our next fixture against the side in 6th. Yes, in theory it could. But we need to hit top form again and there is no moment to waste. Reading need to turn shit overnight and the five teams in between Reading at us all have to stutter too and considering they're top half teams, they're not likely to.
muzzy1981 Posted 6 April 2011 Posted 6 April 2011 How many of Readings players would get in our side? and can you name them? I really feel Readings result has took it away from us now, sorry to be pessimistic but history shows the in form teams go all the way, Blackpool last season. Also we may have players with the ability but they have the expereince which counts for more at the moment.
RowlattsFox Posted 6 April 2011 Posted 6 April 2011 With the pressure off us a little bit now, with us having to make up 7 points plus a huge goal difference, we might put a few wins together and then who knows. I do think we're out of it now though, even if Reading mess it up. There are teams above us who have first opportunity to get in.

Reading have one the of youngest squads in the league with the exception of ian harte, leightwood etc!! , is that their form will probably put them in pole position for 6th spot , w
WardyisPukka Posted 6 April 2011 Posted 6 April 2011 Reading have one the of youngest squads in the league with the exception of ian harte, leightwood etc!! , thats the most gutting fact players like long, are still youngish players but they are dealing with the pressure far better than we are !!
Guy Posted 7 April 2011 Posted 7 April 2011 Yes, we have shot ourselves in the foot of late (after our great run at the start of this year). Unexpected home defeats to teams like Pompey, mixed in with slightly more expected defeats against Norwich, Cardiff and QPR.......while conceding those two suicidal late goals to draw at M'Boro.....have ensured we're now rank outsiders to grab that last available play off spot. The team seems to have slowly but surely just lost it's way for no apparent reason! However I think everyone's reading too much into our current form and like a few have said, if we can start by beating Burnley on Sat. and then Palace next Tues. then if other results go our way too, it's back to being all to play for. Then who do we play after that? - Reading! All that is up for grabs now is 6th place, realistically speaking and at the moment there's only one side likely to get it, Reading. That can all change though, providing we do of course - as everyone's had their wobbles this season barring QPR. Hopefully our season's big wobble finished last Saturday at M'Boro. People who have written off our season already though (as if we've only got two games left to play or something - not the seven that we have!) is pessimism at it's darkest!
