Trav Le Bleu Posted 1 May 2011 Posted 1 May 2011 I'd have him. 10 goals in half a season. He's our 20 a season goalscorer that we need.
Brainy Posted 1 May 2011 Posted 1 May 2011 unfortunatly if you want 20+ goals at this level he is. Shane Long, Grant Holt and Danny Graham are all on 50k a week then?
Head Honcho Posted 1 May 2011 Posted 1 May 2011 http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Transfer-news-Everton-will-let-outcast-Yakubu-leave-in-the-summer-for-2m-article730168.html Everton boss David Moyes will let Yakubu go this summer – but wants a £2million fee for the Nigeria forward. Yakubu, 28, has been banging in the goals for Leicester on loan but will not be staying on and is attracting plenty of interest abroad. That valuation is just about on the button imo...............should we buy him? Not too sure about that.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 1 May 2011 Posted 1 May 2011 Shane Long, Grant Holt and Danny Graham are all on 50k a week then? Would any of them come here though? And if they wanted too, we'd probably have to pay £6 million + to get one of them. We could use that transfer fee to pay Yakubus wages. And hes not on 50k a week just so you know.
ScouseFox Posted 1 May 2011 Posted 1 May 2011 Shane Long, Grant Holt and Danny Graham are all on 50k a week then? Is Yakubu? NO
Callabinho Posted 1 May 2011 Posted 1 May 2011 He scores goals the yak he scores goals, he scores goals the yak he scores goals, he scores goals the yak he scores goals, oh yakubu he scores goals........... Tbh I dont care if he is lazy, his goal return is what counts!
Leicester_Loyal Posted 1 May 2011 Posted 1 May 2011 He scores goals the yak he scores goals, he scores goals the yak he scores goals, he scores goals the yak he scores goals, oh yakubu he scores goals........... Tbh I dont care if he is lazy, his goal return is what counts!
Guest NGoloMode Posted 1 May 2011 Posted 1 May 2011 2mill is a great price..assuming he is actually 28 He seemed all up for staying at city when he first came to us, see no reason why he wouldn't want to stay. A wage cut wouldn't go a miss though.. No chance.
eaststandtom Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 after his disgraceful display against forest i wouldve said no chance but even without his goals against watford his performance was exactly what was lacking from the previous few games. tbf you cant argue with 10 goals since he came but he has taken this piss with his effort. 2 mill though.... yes

zubi Posted 4 May 2011 Posted 4 May 2011 Please Sven! Sign him up! Please Sven, Please Sven, Sign him Up!!!
Stevosevic Posted 4 May 2011 Posted 4 May 2011 For people saying he isn't 28, he had the medical test when he signed for Everton that confirms somebody's age. He is 28.
Tommy G Posted 4 May 2011 Posted 4 May 2011 get him in. Scored 10 since Jan how can anyone complain. He's a goalscorer and with better service next season will bag double that easily
Darkon84 Posted 4 May 2011 Posted 4 May 2011 Yakubu tells BBC Radio Leicester he wants to stay with City adn he feels totally at home. LInky http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13279944.stm
Darkon84 Posted 4 May 2011 Posted 4 May 2011 Wants to make move permanent http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13279944.stm Damn, didnt see youd posted that. I started a new topic in the normal section. I feel a dunce now Which has subsequently been merged with this one.
Guest shearfox Posted 4 May 2011 Posted 4 May 2011 he will score 20+ goals so you can't say no to that.
The Padster Posted 4 May 2011 Posted 4 May 2011 he had the medical test when he signed for Everton that confirms somebody's age. Lopped his leg off and counted the rings?
Ric Flair Posted 4 May 2011 Posted 4 May 2011 If Yakubu plays in a promotion winning team at this level next season then he will be the leading league goal scorer in this division for absolutely years. He's capable of 30+ league goals without breaking sweat. For £2 million and the same again in wages we should go all out for him. Build a team around him, get two wingers in and a striker that chases lost causes and the defense can go window licking again all season.
