Super_horns Posted 22 May 2011 Posted 22 May 2011 Unless they win the Champions League I suspect Chelsea or rather Mr Abramovich will keep changing the manager not matter how unfair it is.
jonthefox Posted 22 May 2011 Posted 22 May 2011 seems strange but inevitable i suppose. chelsea will never win the champions league without any continuity.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 22 May 2011 Posted 22 May 2011 Unless Hiddink or Mourinho are in the pipeline, it's a ridiculous decision.
FoxyPV Posted 22 May 2011 Posted 22 May 2011 SSN had as he'd left. EDIT just changed it to Chelsea sack Ancelotti Madness.
millzi Posted 22 May 2011 Posted 22 May 2011 Abramovich will never be happy! I could see Hiddink coming back.
21st Century Fox Posted 22 May 2011 Posted 22 May 2011 Off to West Ham Yeah I read somewhere that he wants to stay in England and is considering taking the poison chalice at West Ham. In all fairness if he does I'd highly expect West Ham to take one of the automatic places next season. He's a good coach and his pulling power for players would be immense. I imagine it could boil down to the same as Sven though, whether he could get a handle on the Championship quick enough.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 22 May 2011 Posted 22 May 2011 Hiddink, Klopp and Villas Boas early front-runners apparently.
Leicester Lass Posted 22 May 2011 Posted 22 May 2011 Hiddink, Klopp and Villas Boas early front-runners apparently. And Zola apparently!
Corky Posted 22 May 2011 Posted 22 May 2011 Farcical. Only Mourinho has lasted more than two years under Abramovich.
Haydos Posted 22 May 2011 Posted 22 May 2011 Hiddink, Klopp and Villas Boas early front-runners apparently. Can see Villas Boas being approached. Abramovic will be wooed by 'the new Mourinho' tag he has.
ajthefox Posted 22 May 2011 Posted 22 May 2011 Shame. It will no doubt continue though whilst the club is being run by one of many chairmen who simply don't have the patience or understanding.
millzi Posted 22 May 2011 Posted 22 May 2011 Hiddink, Klopp and Villas Boas early front-runners apparently. He said he doesn't want to leave Porto and he wants to make them one of the best teams on the World, or something along those lines. But in all honesty I could see him being attracted by a BIG money offer that he will no doubt get and the players Chelsea can attract.
DB11 Posted 22 May 2011 Posted 22 May 2011 Shame. It will no doubt continue though whilst the club is being run by one of many chairmen who simply don't have the patience or understanding. Got the money though.
shen Posted 22 May 2011 Posted 22 May 2011 Louis Van Gaal would surely be a leading candidate to take over
Trav Le Bleu Posted 22 May 2011 Posted 22 May 2011 I'd hate to support a club where finishing 2nd at everything was a disaster.
Jon the Hat Posted 22 May 2011 Posted 22 May 2011 When you inherit a team playing at that level, you are expected to deliver some silverware every year.
Fox92 Posted 23 May 2011 Posted 23 May 2011 I know when you are manager of a bigger club such as Chelsea then you are expected to win something, but this is ridiculas. Winning the Premier League last year was the first time for Chelsea in many seasons, and this year just because he hasn't got anything, he's gone. Its ridiculas, money cannot buy success.
FoxyPV Posted 23 May 2011 Posted 23 May 2011 When you inherit a team playing at that level, you are expected to deliver some silverware every year. He's still averaged a trophy a season though at Chelsea
