It really is bizarre how Crystal Palace and Bristol City fans can react so differently to the same club taking one of their players. We've taken one of Palace's best players on a free and they're magnanimous about it, we offer £3m for Maynard and the Brizzle fans react as if Sven has walked in their living room and pissed on their kids.

We're about equal quality at the moment but we play in a better league and have more to offer in terms of potential improvement. Fair play to palace fans though, already quite liked them as a club but even more so now.

Especially when you consider what is being said on a Gers forum: Danns agent has said on Twitter that Rangers DIDN'T offer him a contract.
