Babylon Posted 27 July 2015 Posted 27 July 2015 Anyone stating Kasper as second best player left at the club instantly gets discredited as being an idiot.
ian_marshall Posted 27 July 2015 Posted 27 July 2015 "Leicester’s run of seven wins in their final seven games" - Stopped reading after this.

Corky Posted 27 July 2015 Posted 27 July 2015 Yet if we employed a serial relegator in Harry Redknapp or Steve Bruce they'd be praising the appointment of a shrewd operator.

It's hilarious how after one job, and his first international one, that can be called a failure he's suddenly a horrendous manager. Imagine if we'd got him directly after Monaco.

Harry Redknapp I really doubt it, maybe a few years ago they might still say that but I'm pretty sure even the most delusional out there can see he's a failure. Dyche, on the other hand...

Imagine if we'd got him directly after Monaco. He's got a better managerial pedigree than probably anybody outside the top 4. Probably only van Gaal, Wenger and Mourinho could indisputably claim to have a better CV than Ranieri.

Exactly, and he has handled a relegation battle before as well, which is what a lot of people seem to be claiming he wouldn't be able to handle.
The Doctor Posted 27 July 2015 Posted 27 July 2015 Ridiculous. You could argue to the hills that he's not the right sort of manager for us at present (let's be clear, last season we got more than the sum of our parts out, because Pearson was, if nothing else, a brilliant motivator, and Ranieri is more of a tactical coach than a drill sargent) but his pedigree isn't in question

FireFox Posted 29 July 2015 Posted 29 July 2015 Wasn't aware we sold a player called Chris Woo for £5 million? NBC's TV coverage is so good, but their "pro soccer talk" is as much of a joke as other coverage of soccer here in the US. Also can't stand the fact they convert pounds and euros to USD.
EnglishOxide Posted 29 July 2015 Posted 29 July 2015 It would look good with an extra player over everybody else, yeah.

justfoxes Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 (edited) Not a bad read but written off by the guardian 19th predicted finish ;( !! http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2015/jul/30/premier-league-2015-16-preview-leicester-city http://www.theguardian.com/football/video/2015/jul/30/leicester-city-2015-16-season-preview-premier-league-video Edited 30 July 2015 by justfoxes
Sharpe's Fox Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 Although i'm not exactly optimistic about the season I still struggle to see how the Guardian have Bournemouth to finish 3 places above us.
Babylon Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 Although i'm not exactly optimistic about the season I still struggle to see how the Guardian have Bournemouth to finish 3 places above us. Because Eddie Howe is the new poster boy that's why.
lgfualol Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 Although i'm not exactly optimistic about the season I still struggle to see how the Guardian have Bournemouth to finish 3 places above us. I agree. Everyone is bumming them because Howe and "lovely footie" they'll do a Burnley.
Babylon Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 To be fair to those predicting the season, at the moment the middle of the park is powder puff for us. We all know we're going to sign someone, but they are just going off what we have now. If we went into the season with just the three we have I would right us off as well.
Wilson_6 Posted 30 July 2015 Posted 30 July 2015 I like when we get written off. It makes the team closer and its always nice to prove the pundits wrong. Just like the good old days.
