Genuine question but does Joshua have a single trait that is better than everybody else in the heavyweight division?

Wilder has the best one punch knockout power imo

Fury has the best movement  and possibly the biggest heart (how he got up from the Wilder knockdown)

Joshua has the best marketability of course and sells out every fight but does he excel in any aspect inside the ring? Not a dig at AJ either as you could argue he's more of an all rounder than the other two mentioned fighters

Bit of a non contest .. think we should see some of .. Ruiz, Joshua, Fury & Wilder to see who is the best

Joshua isn’t in either of those boxers’ class. If we don’t see more of him, I wouldn’t miss him at all. We don’t want him coming back to The Mecca.

As for last night, it was a classic mismatch. I don’t really know how Schwarz became the guy—imagine going from fighting the class of fighters he was on to Tyson Fury.

Some of Fury’s antics are cringe-inducing, but for the sake of anyone that sat through 10 rounds of Hart vs Barrera (one of the worst, sloppiest fights you’ll ever have the misfortune of seeing) at least Fury tried to make everything entertaining.

Fury is the best Heavy weight born on these islands and for me he is already in the top 5 of all time , his skill set is so good he moves like a middleweight , truly blessed to live in his era , will be heading to New York for his next fight and then Vegas for the Wilder Rematch In Spring of 2020

The amount of negative hate he got (on here alone was shocking) , he didn’t help himself that’s for sure but he didn’t deserve the hatred , most of which was bigoted hatred against Irish Travellers.

He changed his life and his narrative and he is now about to transend  boxing, he is about to become the globes biggest sporting icon that doesn’t play with a ball.

His is is a fighting man , he is a skilled pugilist and in time he will be mentioned in the same breath as Ali

Something weird must of been going on with the bell. Everyone’s quick to blame the ref bit evidently neither of the fighters heard it either.

Yeah can't blame him for that but he was way too lenient for the elbow wasn't he?

I mean yes but it’s unfortunate, I’ve seen a lot of Briedis and he seems genuinely a pretty fair by the book competitor and a pretty decent professional. He’s got whacked in the back of his head which in itself is very illegal and he’s just reacted, very badly.

But yeah, you can’t do that in a boxing ring and he should of been chucked out, really.

Ruiz proved when it comes to fighting it is different to being an athlete... not about being ripped at all. Bruce Lee studied Wing chun, and that was about fast movements, in a small space... but he only built his body to look good on tv for the movies, otherwise he wouldn’t have got so ripped because the energy required to move such muscle. Fury is about fast movement and making his opponent look like an idiot

Agree with the comments about physique. Being very muscular is about short term power like weightlifting, sprinters (100m, 200m etc). When it goes over long distance there has to be a balance. How many long distance runners or mountain specialists in the cycling have massive legs? Compare that to sprinters in cycling or running who generally have a more power athletic physique.

Our kid drew btw. Good result as he was fighting a Nottingham based lad who had already had 6/7 amateur fights and won them all.

Re-match scheduled for September. General consensus was if it had gone to 5 rounds, our kid would have probably won it cos the opponent was apparently gassed at the end. But tbf of course I’m biased....

Magic night in front of a heaving full house and dead proud.

@Manwell Pablo our kid used the same phrase as you did... you can’t play boxing.. I get it now and too bloody right!

What I actually put was full of typos, ? the quote is “You don’t play boxing, you fight for your life” I.e it’s not a hobby. Think you got the jist though.

White collar for charity is one thing it’s essentially a laugh, the unlicensed stuff  that is particularly big in notts and brum is where you can get seriously hurt (lad from notts died not so long ago) I’ve never seen your lad box have no idea how old he is, how he is stylistically or if he’s earning any money etc. So maybe he’s cut out for it he seems to be doing ok at the minute, and four rounders ain’t so bad.  You have every right to be proud of him my only advice would be keep a close eye on it it’s a horrible business in and out the ring from the bottom level up.

Best of luck for the rematch
