shen Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 It's all about opinion and what you like I suppose but I do not enjoy watching Barcelona tip tap the ball around and sterilise the game as they do. I admire their ability but I don't find it entertaining at all. I'd much rather watch Tottenham and how they played around Christmas time, or the way Blackpool played, it's quick attacking football with purpose and excitement. Each to their own. I enjoy direct and quick football too. Barcelona are just able to produce some things that I haven't seen any other side ever produce so regularly. Their movement, passing and skill is amazing, even if it can be a bit slow as opposing teams are forced into a compact brick wall around their own box.
marko Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 Fancy that, a 6th placed Premier League team merks the Spanish and European champions Though in all fairness Barcelona should really see Chelsea off at the Nou Camp. 1-0 won't be enough. Ummm i'd hardly call a smash and grab 1-0 win a "merking"
Guest Bilo Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 Good win but as already said, 1-0 won't be enough. Arsenal went to the Camp Nou with that slender a lead and ended up getting anally fisted 4-1, same will happen to Chelsea I'm afraid.
Finnegan Posted 18 April 2012 Posted 18 April 2012 Good stuff. Should keep the everything English is shit crowd quiet for a while. Yeah until they lose four nil in the Nou Camp
surrifox Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Looks like all that rolling around has paid off. that was totally embarassing
Haydos Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 More respect for Di Matteo. He dealt with it perfectly and his players were faultless. Can't see anything but a Barca win at home though, they could have had 3 or 4 last night, it's not gonna happen two games in a row.
Lovejoy Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Whilst 1-0 isn't enough, it's a darn sight better than 2-1 or 3-2.
Webbo Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 Whilst 1-0 isn't enough, it's a darn sight better than 2-1 or 3-2. It's a darn sight better than the thrashing Chelsea were going to get according to the experts on here as well.
Corky Posted 19 April 2012 Posted 19 April 2012 There's another leg to play Webbo. Arsenal did well in their first leg and were still hammered.

Manwell Pablo Posted 20 April 2012 Posted 20 April 2012 Fair play to the rent boys, but given Barcelona had 70% posession, 25 (Chelsea 4) efforts on goal with 15 being on target (Chelsea 2). At Stamford Bridge, I would hate to think what it's going to be like at the Nou Camp.

Chelsea won't be able to replicate that performance or that luck on a pitch that big
StanSP Posted 20 April 2012 Posted 20 April 2012 People say that Barca's pitch is big, but it's only 2 metres longer and a metre wider than the pitch at Stamford Bridge. Is it that much of a difference?

Is it that much of a difference? It's a fair amount. Pitch size is irrelevant anyway Barcelona should have won on Wendesday, on their own patch they'll give Chelsea a hideing.

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, Barca should dick all over Chelsea on Tuesday. I just didn't think that 2x1 is that much of a difference in grand scheme of things. A lot of people raving on about a bigger pitch but to me I don't think it's that much. Barcelona just have a very good way of spreading the play and making the most of any extra space at Camp Nou so it gives the impression that the pitch is much bigger than it actually is. I think it'll be 3-1 or 4-1 to Barca.
FOX_TROT_07 Posted 24 April 2012 Posted 24 April 2012 Anyone know of any decent streams for skysports?

ScouseFox Posted 24 April 2012 Posted 24 April 2012 That'll open the floodgates. Busquets with a tap in, some poor defending.
Matt Posted 24 April 2012 Posted 24 April 2012 Brilliant, absoloutly brilliant. John Terry, just proved what a cunt you really are.
Finnegan Posted 24 April 2012 Posted 24 April 2012 Retarded by Terry. Sanchez made a meal of it but he clearly was kicked and JT should have known he'd go straight down. Most of this Chelsea side would do the same.
