CupidStunt Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 What you guys think? Should Sven stick with the same Team that Destroyed Derby, or will he bring back Wellens and Beckford? Personally i cant wait to see Nugent and Beckford up front together, but the Team that came out against Derby looked awesome, unplayable even in the first half at times Tinker or Stick?
ithuriel Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 keep the same team, let those that won the game play to keep their places.
Fox92 Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 Always keep a winning team, and the same applies here. Hopefully Sven will stick, but he'll most probably end up making a change.
Bryn Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 With Abe playing for Japan this week I think he might make way for Wellens.
Jimmy Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 he kept the same team from the Brighton game to the Cardiff league game after a win
Brooksy Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 Hopefully same team but I can see Beckford starting against Brum.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 I hope Gallagher is back in the team. We really need a player who isnt afraid of putting in a tackle, who can win headers, will put his head in where it hurts and will actually score us some goals. Get him back in.
I am Rod Hull Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 I hope Gallagher is back in the team. We really need a player who isnt afraid of putting in a tackle, who can win headers, will put his head in where it hurts and will actually score us some goals. Get him back in.
BrummieFOX Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 never change a winning team Rubbish!! Birmingham away is a completely different game which may require different players with a different skill-set. I'm not saying we definitely should change the lineup but to completely rule out making any changes is a bit silly. The players will know this themselves and Sven will have to have a strong justification for dropping anyone.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 I think I would be inclined to include Beckford.

I'm not saying we definitely should change the lineup but to completely rule out making any changes is a bit silly. The players will know this themselves and Sven will have to have a strong justification for dropping anyone. The same sort of side that's got us four clean sheets on the bounce against top six sides? Honestly there's no need at all to change this team, I'm a big Wellens fan and always have been but there's simply no way he can play at Birmingham - he was very poor at Cardiff and you can't help but wonder if we did have Neil Danns playing in that game then we would've actually won it rather than drawn, but we'll never know. Absolutely no need to change, fear no-one. Don't go into our next game being absolutely massively cautious about keeping a clean sheet. Obviously it'd be a bonus, but league winners go to places like Birmingham, go for three points, and often get them. Same team, same attacking, same solid defence, I think that kind of performance against Derby will beat virtually anyone in this division.
Guest MattP Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 Beckford starts, he hasn't come here to sit on the bench. You put out what you consider to be your best eleven, whether you have won or not previously.

CupidStunt Posted 3 October 2011 Author Posted 3 October 2011 Sarcastic? I think so, Only player i can see coming in is Beckford.I am hoping Sven has finally got it sorted, we have a tricky game away to brum, and then 2 games at home which should see some points coming in
cc_star Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 Birmingham might actually put a tackle in, so different players may be required to get the best out of the game. Considering how bad we made derby look, it's a shame Beckford was out as I think once he gets off the mark he should be cracking 'em in from all over.
acooling08 Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 SO you are saying we should put Beckford (who so far has been useless) back in and drop Vassell (scored against Derby and playing well) or Nugent (scored against Derby and has 3 goals in 6)??
Corky Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 I'd keep the same midfield for a while, I would like to see how Beckford and Nugent play together but can you drop Vassell really? Good problem to have though.
CupidStunt Posted 3 October 2011 Author Posted 3 October 2011 can Vassel play on the left mid? sure he has played there before
Guest Col city fan Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 Sven will do what Sven will do.... And after the annihilation of the sheep shaggers I trust him to do the right thing.. Personally... I'd keep the same team... Many will shout for Beckford to be in but I like Vassell as the foil for nugent. Another win at Brum would be sooper dooper, but I'd take a point
leicesterseddon Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 One obvious change would be Beckford for Vassell. Can't see that happening though because Vassell is a Sven golden boy. To be honest, I fear the return of 4-4-3 to crowbar Beckford back into the team.
