Ric Flair Posted 12 October 2011 Posted 12 October 2011 I'm pretty sure there was a hold up with the St Ledger deal because he wanted assurances that he'd play regularly, he then signed for us so I assume Sven gave him some form of assurances. A week or two later and we signed Mills, for big dough and the writing has been on the wall ever since, that he'd be back-up. I can understand why he's frustrated, but when your team has 4 clean sheets on the spin, it isn't the right time to have a whinge to the media. I really wish this was happening to Wellens, i'd love to see how he'd react to being dropped. He'd be in the papers daily, chuntering on. I'd love it.
Corky Posted 12 October 2011 Posted 12 October 2011 Leicester fans in overreaction shocker. We don't overreact you waste-of-space fvcking sh!t moderator.

wellyfox Posted 12 October 2011 Posted 12 October 2011 The lad is young, he has no idea what a REAL nightmare is...,try being stuck in a train compartment to bristol with diarrhea and no toilet....then get back to me.... I was on a train to scotland busting for a piss and the loo locks had jammed. Went to the buffy car and was told the only one working was in first class. This woman would not let me go into first class to use the loo. She followed me into the buffy car so I asked the young girl for 3 plastic pint pots. I turned to the woman and asked her to hold 2 of em. As i was undoing my flies she asked me what they were for but not looking what i was doing. Told her when i filled the first one up she was to hold the nxt one while i filled that. Was soon in first class. The young girl in the buffy car was still laffin when i came back through. She said served the bitch right but what would I have done if she still said No. My reply start filling the pots I was not joking.
Master Fox Posted 12 October 2011 Posted 12 October 2011 Oh what a nightmare! I bet his life is so hard.

He's a squad player, like all the others and will probably still play an important role in our season. Get behind him mate like we should get behind them all If you're looking at a player who may well become upset if he don't start, then look no further than Beckford...a few games on the bench for Jermaine could spell trouble for Sven. But I'd still support him..cos hes our player
Tommy G Posted 12 October 2011 Posted 12 October 2011 Ric has a strange and embaressing obsession with wellens which is forced on other people in every single thread you open. We get you don't like him but big wow? We all have the players we like and dislike. THIS is a thread about our centre back and no need to mention Wellens yet he is shoe-horned in somehow. I think in general you are a very good poster and have been over the years but my estimation along with others will be going way down if this keeps happening, it's really boring and a big strange and obsessive, the old Ric is much better. I hope Richie hasn't slept with your Mrs, if so I take it all back and its understandable
accessory Posted 12 October 2011 Posted 12 October 2011 thought this was a needless signing, would rather have Wayne Brown as back up tbh Indeed. I'm sure Bamba, Pantsil, Peltier and others would welcome that racist lowlife with open arms...
accessory Posted 12 October 2011 Posted 12 October 2011 Right then Mr St Ledger, allow me just to bring you down to reality. Last season you were part of a defence that was relegated. The fact a high profile Manager like Sven feels you still have something to offer in the championship is a miracle. You were brought in as back up, a Club that want to get promoted are not gonna sign a defender who helped take a club down last season, as our number 5 or 6. Mills and Bamba are better than you. You could have stayed and played week in week out, you chose to move to a better club, grass isn't always greener is it son? If You dont like ur current squad status here then **** off to League One on loan, Im sure George Taft would be more than happy to step up to your place. The Saint has not exactly lived up to his name in this interview. Slating your employer in public is rarely a good move. Last night, when he had the chance to let his football do the talking, he picked up another gratuitous booking. However, given Bamba and Mills have been doing the same in recent City games, it's likely that he'll get a first-team game for us sooner rather than later as suspensions kick in. Let's hope that's when his chance does arise, he does better than in the Bristol City game.
Kitchandro Posted 12 October 2011 Posted 12 October 2011 I get there are players people like and dislike but it sounds like some people want certain players to fail. Ric and others have it in for Wellens, and it seems plenty have it in for St Ledger as well. I wish people would stop looking for any reason to get on a players back, OK I'll admit when DJ was getting a look in under Sousa I wanted him to piss off but he was actually being an arsehole and wanted out. But I don't think there are any players like that here. Give the guy a break, he's been asked about Leicester and whilst being honest about his tough time so far, he's been complimentary of Sven and appears to understand the reasons why he's not in the team. I'd rather have a player disappointed about not playing than someone acting up like Tevez so they can get their way.
panky and our gang Posted 12 October 2011 Posted 12 October 2011 He is third rate . Having seen his nervous displays for us i'm sure he has blew it with Sven . He simply is not good enough as a first team choice. And what's more he knows it hence his whinging via the media . Our division is littered with so called " Internationals " in reality it means Jack shit .

Totally He had a shocking game against Bristol but so did half the team that night. At least he wants to play, wants to take his chance and is happy to bide his time for now. I don't think any player deserves to be judged on just one or two games. If he gets a run, he could turn out to be a solid, reliable defender.

Rightly or wrongly, the impression has been given that the Saint's more bothered about Ireland that he is about us. Except it isn't Ireland who allow him to maintain the lifestyle to which he's accustomed. He shouldn't even be considering a loan move, let alone speculating in the media about it. So it's no surprise that some City fans are asking questions about his commitment to us. As I said previously, he will have chances sooner rather than later to prove his worth. I hope that he will be in the right frame of mind to make the most of them.

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 17 October 2011 Posted 17 October 2011 Time he performed, he has got his chance, lets see if he takes it. I hope so, I hope he plays really well and can even keep his place, but I doubt it.
Lambert09 Posted 17 October 2011 Posted 17 October 2011 People say he has a chance but I for one would not be suprised if he just makes the bench and pelts continues at CB
wakeyfox01 Posted 17 October 2011 Posted 17 October 2011 Peltier looked poor at cb yesterday to me. Kept getting caught out of position which at one point let King in one on one with Kasper but he hit it straight at him. Definitley wouldn't start him there unless we desperately needed him to.
MC Prussian Posted 17 October 2011 Posted 17 October 2011 Oh, look - what a coincidence. Mills out for three games. Cue Sean St. Ledger...
