Look at the V

See a spade? As in the ace of spades?

Vegas? The money effect on the V suggests maybe.

Tommy Vercetti? (Pleeeeeease!)

So looking forward to this, I just can't see them putting out another 4 type game, everyone you speak to says its the worst one and they'd have surely done some research into what people want.

Many people noted that the logo for the 'V' in Grand Theft Auto V looks a lot like a bank note. But at the time it didn't seem to be a specific one and many thought it looked more like a British design than an American one.

However, an eagle-eyed fan on Reddit, called eldunco, discovered that both the Roman numeral and lettering is almost identical to a special $5 bank note issued in 1889 by the U.S. Mint. It was the first bank note ever to feature a Native American, but caused controversy because they got his headdress wrong and used one from a completely different tribe.

As you can see the similarity is uncanny, but what exactly this means for the game is still open to interpretation. An American setting does now seem definite, although there's nothing stopping it having multiple cities (like San Andreas) - some perhaps even in other countries.

A money theme also seems likely, with many recent rumours suggesting that the game will be set in and around the recent financial crisis. Whether the game will have anything to say about the treatment of Native Americans though we couldn't guess.

Previous to the logo reveal most rumours suggested that the game had a setting based on Hollywood - or at least the Grand Theft Auto version of it - but that may still be true as well. San Andreas had three separate cities, and that was on the PlayStation 2.

Rockstar aren't saying anything though, beyond that the trailer will be released next Wednesday. Knowing them though that will still probably leave more questions than answers.

They definately need to go back to their roots with the new game. I think although the 4th was a great game, San Andreas was a lot more fun to play. They need to take themselves less serious again. One of the main guys said in an interview before the 4th that they had taken planes out because it wasn't realistic that the character would be able to fly planes. Its stuff like that they need to go back on. Pretty sure most people dont play games to be realistic. The variety of missions in San Andreas was awesome aswell.

I hope they implement some kind of countryside too. Put Red County, as it is based in San Andreas. Urban areas get boring

Then we can have songs like 'I love a rainy night' and 'Hey good looking' on the radio.

I loved the RPG element in SA. Which got around the how could he do all this driving/flying!

Ie. being crap on a bike at first an always falling off, but after plenty of cycling you didn't fall off even goes backwards quickly.

Same with weapons etc.

More of that please!
