GTA V

There you go

lol

Used to love this game this was like an expansion pack on the PS1 where you needed GTA 1 so it used the same game engine. Quality game and good soundtrack. GTA 2 on the pc was good too very tidy and entertained for hours, anyway when does the new GTA come out :dunno:

Zavvi has it listed as 23 November 2012.

Don't worry, it will, just like every game in the series prior.

If you compare the teaser trailer to GTA IV, the graphics are significantly sharper. The physics will be much refined, and will likely borrow successful elements from other Rockstar developed/published games (RDR, LA Noire). Cycling and plane control will return - so scope will be much larger than in GTA. Setting is only based on San Andreas - some parts are to be omitted entirely, but Rockstar have said this is their biggest game yet, so expect the cities and countryside to be much larger and more varied. Not too much has been given away with regards to plot, but property development has been teased as part of the game. Also, rumours are that the Drug-Dealing aspect from Chinatown Wars (which was fantastic) may also feature.

We don't know much about the main character, but he seems about as far-removed from Carl Johnson as you can get, and it's not set in the early 90's - don't expect this to be an update of GTA SA.

Much like GTA III and IV - they shared the very basic setting of Liberty City, but were entirely different games altogether.

I preferred playing as a 'gangsta' in SA than being a 'gangster' in games such as GTA IV.

Anyone else feel the same?

I agree, I think SA was spot on in every respect. I loved GTA IV for different reasons - it was totally focussed, cinematic and had amazing physics, but San Andreas was the kind of game you could play indefinitely.

Also, a good mix of hilarity and grittiness.

Vice City was the best

It was ok, but not as good as the others. It was a bit smaller than III, and didn't have the same great atmosphere of III. The story was clearly written by someone who loved Scarface a bit too much. In fact, it was like they'd never read a book, and had only ever watched that one film over and over again. I still liked the game a lot, but I didn't think it was an improvement on the one before. I thought it was a bit of a step backwards in the series.

IV is my favourite so far. The graphics and physics were incredible. It did have its faults - there was far too much enforced socialising, and the tone wasn't quite the same as the rest of the series, although I'm not sure the old tone would have worked with the new level of realism anyway. There were also a lot of features from San Andreas left out, but that was probably a memory issue.

San Andreas is my 2nd favourite. Huge map and tons of things to do. I hope V will combine the best things about SA and VI.

Loved the first two when they came out, and even before that. I had a demo of the original GTA for the PS1 before the game was released. It would end after playing for ten minutes, but I couldn't stop replaying it. I thought it had been made with me in mind.

San Andreas was by far and away by favourite. Loved everything about it. You could just roam for ages without getting bored, and it was an absolutely huge map. Am I right in thinking the map on GTA V will be a fair bit bigger?
