Salieri Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 All those unbeaten games and couldn't get them up though. 2nd in the table as it stands today so clearly heading in the right direction.
SMX11 Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Yuki will have no chance of understanding him If this is going to be the option then he has to be given time. The owners are asking too much in too little time. Their expectations need to come down to try and get into the play offs this year because it just has unnecessary pressure on young shoulders. Not a fan of the DoF role but you have to say that Clark and Keegan must get on well with each other so there shouldn't be as much infighting Is the nailed on or just still speculation?
Kitchandro Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 2nd in the table as it stands today so clearly heading in the right direction. They were second for ages last season weren't they? As said above, despite a very long unbeaten run they still couldn't go up. He's had a big budget and the fact he hasn't taken them up in 3 years (and their fans think he should have done) is quite underwhelming.
Salieri Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Who is his assistant at Huddersfield? I'm sure I saw a feature on him on the Football League show and he had a right hand man who he seemed to work very well with.
Guest shearfox Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Well it does sound like it's Keegan DOF and Clark manager, I don't know why but I'm quite happy with that. Clark is a good up and coming manager and Keegan has a wealth of experience which Clark can feed off.
tylesta Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 2008–09 Leicester City Peterborough United Scunthorpe United 2009–10 Norwich City Leeds United Millwall 2010-11 Brighton & Hove Albion Southampton Peterborough United. if i'm wrong tell me but some very good teams have come up from league 1 since clark took over huddersfield, big budget maybe you would expect promotion but the ship is steady there and they look really hard to beat. i think some managers need more time not every manager you get is going to get you promoted straight away whats needed is not throwing money around at every tom dick and harry have a few seasons with boring mid table finishes and strengthen (like qpr) and get better each season the thais have thrown alot of money at us why do they want premiership football so quickly if they wnat to be here for the long run wouldn't they want to steady the ship a little and build a team instead of chucking money around for fun?
Aleksz Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Who is his assistant at Huddersfield? I'm sure I saw a feature on him on the Football League show and he had a right hand man who he seemed to work very well with. Terry McDermott.

Tielemans63 Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 hasn't heard anything, wants to be seen as professional and doesn't want to show his mind is elsewhere, the club has treated him well and IF anything was true he would tell the chairman and let him know, but can't really comment. IF city was to come in for him the first thing he would do is speak to the chairman IMMEDIATLEY and talk about the future. Cheers mate. Seems like code for 'come and get me'.

Scunthorpe, Peterborough (twice), Brighton. They shouldn't be getting promoted, Brighton have been turned around by Poyet remember. I want to go up this season, waiting 3 years isn't good enough. If the man is too inexperienced to take us into the play-offs this season (minimum) and if we don't quite make it, take us up automatically next season, then he shouldn't be given the job. The right manager would take this squad up.
Legend_in_blue Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 This whole scenario reminds me of Bassett and Adams. No thanks.
Kitchandro Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 do you ever have anything positive to say? What good is positivity when it's bullshit? That's not directed at the poster I replied to, but why should I be positive about something I don't believe in? This forum needs more honesty, not positivity.
Petchy Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Whilst the forum may need more honesty, it could do with less moaning too.
Ozwin Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 I think this whole director of football thing is a heap of stinky bollocks.
Legend_in_blue Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 I think this whole director of football thing is a heap of stinky bollocks. Agreed.
cc_star Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Not over the moon, Clark hasn't got them up despite massive backing for a few years Keegan has been out the game for a long old time & he's walked away from the biggest jobs in football England & of course Newcastle, twice where he was a god. Disgraceful! all we can do now is prey it works
leicesterseddon Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Not happy with the idea of a DOF at all. At all. Has this model ever worked in English football, let alone in the Championship?
AKCJ Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 What is the Huddersfield version of FoxesTalk, again? I remember when we signed Pelts they had a very good forum where a lot of their fans posted. It'd be interesting to see what they have to say.

Langston Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 For fuck's sake. A DIRECTOR OF FOOTBALL ISN'T NECESSARILY SOMEONE WHO BUYS PLAYERS FOR THE MANAGER.
Langston Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Also, from a Hudds forum: These comments make me laugh on here. Its positively a Lee Clark wankfest on here at the moment. What great strides he has made year on year and how he is undoubtedly the manager to take us forward.Yet as soon as he is linked with another club, he suddenly isn't good enough due to the fact he hasn't achieved owt yet. So don't believe all you read when they say they're 'not that fussed.'
Thracian Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 For fuck's sake. A DIRECTOR OF FOOTBALL ISN'T NECESSARILY SOMEONE WHO BUYS PLAYERS FOR THE MANAGER. So what does he do? As opposed to the manager?
Schlupp Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 For fuck's sake. A DIRECTOR OF FOOTBALL ISN'T NECESSARILY SOMEONE WHO BUYS PLAYERS FOR THE MANAGER. Yeh he's more of a head scout if anything.
