somebum Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Doomed to fail, Keegan has to big of an ego to play 50/50 with some younger guy
dave the caveman Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Basically relying on Leicester City being one of the only clubs ever in the history of football to use a managerial partnership with success. Wouldn't mind Clark on his own but the hilarious Keegan side show is just an idiotic nod towards some incredibly immature football fantasy that will lead us nowhere but to the depths of calamity and humiliation. Please don't be true.
Filberts Treat Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 I'm hoping keegan has nothing to do with the football side of things but is more to do with helping run the club.
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 It's well known Keegan and Clarke have a great relationship on and off the field. This makes sense.
cc_star Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 As I said in the Keane thread, the talk of Keane will make Lee "I've failed twice but hoping for a 3rd time lucky" Clarke seem like a great appointment, despite the fact he's playing 2nd fiddle to Chrissy P who's in his 1st full season, not 3rd. I'd go along with it, but on the experienced front Hughes & Davies have more in their locker & on the up & coming front... Possibly OGS, who's untainted by failure... Lee Clark has been up & coming for a few years & still hasn't arrived
Corky Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 I really don't see the problem with Keegan. Someone who believes in attacking football, as a manager he improved the main three clubs he took control of (Newcastle very dramatically). He is seen as a joke figure for some reason but his record looks impressive.

He's walked out on the 2 biggest jobs he could ever have England & Newcastle, why would he even have the remotest scrap of interest in us once we have a bad result, appointing him makes future upheaval more likely Keegan with Keown, however could be a dream-ticket

Jacnah Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Doomed to fail, Keegan has to big of an ego to play 50/50 with some younger guy thank you for yet another of your highly positive and constructive insights
Webbo Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Not enthusiastic about this. I'll give them a chance though (if true).
Ashley Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Like we did the last time we were promoted from this league in 02-03, with Bassett and Adams? Bassett left, Adams done it by him self?
flowwolf Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 I would "love it" just " love it " if this old has been comes nowhere near this club . :frusty: :frusty:
accessory Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Bassett left, Adams done it by him self? Bassett didn't leave, he just moved "upstairs". H returned as manager (on a caretaker basis) in 04 after Adams quit.
Uncle Monty Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Bassett didn't leave, he just moved "upstairs". H returned as manager (on a caretaker basis) in 04 after Adams quit. Truely, a dark day.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Keegan will be always remembered forever, for this... Back in the saddle again...
