KFS Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 would they risk lying to there own fans ?? for our sake?? surely there own club is more important to them.. or we tapped him up and happy to pay a big fine/compo or what ever They wouldn't go shoving it around on Twitter that we've snagged him? They need to keep the Hudders fans in the belief that everything is fine or people start acting irrationally. Thought you would have noticed that surfing this board
Happy Fox Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 It would be a monumental cock up on behalf of the Huddersfiled director if Lee Clark gets the job, who knows maybe he will be sacked.

wurmer Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2056784/Lee-Clark-Leicester-job.html Is this the same Daily Mail who claimed that Keane had the job, just a few days ago?

Huddersfield boss Clark could now be named as Sven Goran Eriksson’s successor on Thursday after emerging as the leading contender. The 39-year-old has established an impressive reputation as one of English football’s brightest young bosses, and Leicester made their move for him on Tuesday. Hull's former Leicester manager Nigel Pearson and ex-Derby and Nottingham Forest boss Billy Davies are also on the short-list, but Clark seems poised to secure the post. Huddersfield will demand compensation of around £300,000 for the manager that has guided the Terriers on an amazing run of 41 consecutive matches unbeaten in League One. Leicester are determined to have Clark installed before their Championship clash with Leeds on Sunday.
Jace Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Don't post on here very often at all. Just been told Clark and keegan will be in charge come Sunday. And to hopefully expect the announcement tomorrow. Heard about Sousa and Sven from the same source before it happened so hopefully won't end up with egg on my face. And remember, don't shoot the messenger!!! This wouldn't surprise me can we ask where your source is from?
Ric Flair Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Clark it is then. Got his mobile number if anyone wants it.

Happy Fox Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Just one paper covering this story No the Mail are as well.
B52 Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 If you sack an experianced manager like Sven you have to do it right. You don't hire ex manure piece of crap who's manager only because Fergie is who he is. A young manager like Clark can be the a true success especially with the team we have at the moment. As a former midfielder he can exploit the overload we have in that area and he has experience of winning the Championship so he knows what to do.
Nickfosse Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Not quite sure why some are so negative about this possible appointment. Compared to Keane and Grant it is a breath of fresh air. It also goes back to our successful previous modus operandai of employing young, hungry, up and coming managers which gave us our best years until we broke with that formula and went with Peter Taylor. It also means one of my favourite correspondents, Marbella Dave will still come and watch the lads.
Ric Flair Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Would obviously rather Clark over Keane, Strachan, Dowie, Grant and possibly Billy Davies but I was hoping for less of a gamble myself. The dough we have, the squad we have and the set-up should be right up several quality managers street such as Hughes, Di Matteo and possibly O'Neill. Oh well.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 Mirror football link They said Liverpool were interested in Schlupp
Soar Fox Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 If what people like is someone who shows passion then Lee Clark has bucket loads. I remember from last season when Huddersfield played Brighton, Clark & Poyet on the sideline. Also Clark had a set two with someone on the sideline this season but I can't remember who.
Craig Posted 2 November 2011 Posted 2 November 2011 I'm underwhelmed by the appointment (if true), but I'll give him a chance. Seems to have done a decent enough job with Huddersfield. Also very impressed with Top for not just going with a 'name'. It would have been easy to do that. He's obviously seen something in Clark, hopefully we shall in time too.
