Nigel Pearson?

Some of my happiest times as a City fan were with Pearson at the helm. Hasn't exactly set the world on fire at Hull since, but not done too badly. I'd have him over most of the current contenders any day.

He wasn't as bad as people make out. We weren't solely reliant on knock downs from Howard. When your midfield consisted at times of Oakley, Cleverley, Mark Davies, Jay Spearing et al. you end up playing football. Take a look at the Leic vs Cheltenham highlights....

Pearson for me can be summed up in style and approach from just one of his decisions while with us... He let Max Gradel go.

No thanks.

He got us promoted and straight into the play offs. Bit fairer.

The Max Gradel who could not get into our team at the time, what else was he supposed to do?

A player with flair doesn't fit into a Pearson formation, he is a safety first manager just look at Hulls goals for and against this season and last, sums him up.

Pick him and play him.

Absolutely massive talent that we gave away for **** all.

I dont want to watch us bore our way up / down the league, besides name the last side that played in that way and got promoted?

It's a results business...

Apart from against Derby who did us a favour by not tackling for the whole match this time (was just the 1st half last season at their place) it's hardly like we've been playing like 70's Brazil, in faxt we've played some of the most boring overly-methodical football I've seen anyone play... ever.

The method being not to concede, and if we concede, we're scuppered!

This season I'd agree the football has been poor, but last season I saw some of the best football and fantasticly worked goals from a Leicester side ever. (entertainment guaranteed every home)

But he isn't a big 'name'

Fourth_Official Fourth Official

@aidbyrne they also want a "name"

But he's a great manager he'll be in the Premiership in a few years!

I know he is a good manger I was just making the point that Fourth official alludes to the fact that we want a 'name' manager so cannot see it being Pearson, most likely to fit the name bill would be MON or Hughes.
