LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 No they didn't. They all played 4-3-3 type formations which Sven played for most of last season. QPR played 4-2-3-1/4-4-1-1......
Finnegan Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 they need to know success, they need to know WINNING. Shit, I've just realised who our next gaffer needs to be! The man with the winning recipe:
Cropwellfox Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 Marriott spottage So it's not just posters on our board who have mates who are into a bit of 'Marriott spotting' then...... if anyone is in the area and has a few quid you might be able to get him a beer in
body102 Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 I actually rate Hughes but only about as much as Sven or Keegan - all 3 of them are way better than all the other shite mentioned on here so let's hope we get him PS - Top is nothing to do with Topps tiles, in case you wondered thank fook for that , their hierarchy are shocking
Fox1651 Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 Think Hughes would be a good choice if the Messiah doesnt return
Beeza Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 I apologise for opening a can of worms, I didn't even realise there was a can, let alone worms in it. Maybe I haven't looked through things as thoroughly as I should have. That said, I really suggest you all have a good glance through the guy's past 'insider' reports, the history as I see it is appalling. Occasionally right, but largely because of a sort of scatter gun approach. I knew a chap like that down the local bar who said he was Pontus Kaamark's English tutor, and people worshipped him because he linked us with everyone under the sun and from time to time got it right. I actually got to speak to Pontus Kaamark about five years ago and mentioned this chap and he couldn't remember having met him. As he said himself, 'people like us don't know that sort of thing anyway'. I saw someone on here the other day saying that Muzzy or Muzzy's missus had told him who the next manager would be! On the one hand I feel like saying don't get excited about this, it could just as easily be O'Neill (who we at least know to be first choice) or Clark or whoever else, on the other hand this could well be right, but only because these same people have claimed to have a 'scoop' on every other living football manager who might be interested in the job. If there's worms in the can then I'm quite happy to help clear up the over spill, but, as painful as it may be to accept, this isn't inside info. It's repeatedly claiming inside info until something turns out to be right. Why use a few words when thousands will do. Reading your posts are a good cure for insomnia!! That said you talk lots of sense my friend. Lots and lots and lots and lots etc. etc .............................................................blaaaaaaaaarghhhhhhhzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz sleep now
ScouseFox Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 Would be very pleased if we got Hughes in. Done a good job everywhere really, won't take any bullshit either.

Bob Weasel Fox Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 Would be very pleased if we got Hughes in. Done a good job everywhere really, won't take any bullshit either. This - obviously only if Martin doesnt return
Jace Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 I'm putting £20 on Hughes with William Hill now I think he will tick the most boxes with the owners
Toffee_Fox Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 Get down to SoBe and stop posting on here!! Halloween, crazy lot these Americans, staying well clear!!
Toffee_Fox Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 http://downatthemac.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=61918&page=1 I'm shocked....
Happy Fox Posted 30 October 2011 Author Posted 30 October 2011 http://downatthemac.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=61918&page=1 I'm shocked.... No one is doubting you, what do you think is the likelihood of Nigel Pearson getting the job if these talks are unsuccessful.
cc_star Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Prefer Hughes over Clark, he's got the experience of playing at the highest level to gain respect from players & did really well at Wales, Blackburn & Fulham. He seems like he wouldn't suffer poor performances lightly & carry on picking the player(s) regardless.
Finnegan Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 experience of playing at the highest level at Wales
21st Century Fox Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 One of the major downsides of Hughes coming here is that he also brings his agent Kia Joorabchian with him and I'd rather that self serving weasel was as far away from the club as geographically possible.

Hehe now THAT I can associate with.... Good point
cc_star Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011    Nice editing Man Utd, or did I dream he was one of the best forwards of his time?

Never knew that, great point... What a C word. Although if he could get Tevez on loan till the summer
B52 Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Hughes was a failure at Man City...... You don't get rid of Sven to get a worse manager. But he maybe fits the championship manager role.
BIEREDeLuxe Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Exceptional circumstances at Man City at the time and I really don't think his tenure could be classed as a failure. And he brought some top quality players in (some of who still figure prominently in Mancini's team). And no disrespect but you should be looking at his record at Fulham to actually gauge how he would do at a club like Lcfc - much more of an even comparison.

One thing is for sure, out of all the options available, there is no perfect manager for us, all mentioned some negatives, i'm sure if Sir Alex was availbale there would be fans on her looking into the negatives rather then the posives!!!
Ashley Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Just posted this in the next manager thread. My mates brother works in the Marriot in Leicester. My mate text me last night saying Mark Hughes was there along with 3 other people(he didn't know who the other 3 were) could he be our next manager? Believe it, don't believe it but don't shoot the messenger. This come from the same person who said Darius Vassell was signing for us which paddy agyemang posted on here(same contact).
