RowlattsFox Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 Weale is not great but he's better than Yeovil. He's spent so much of his career on the bench, he needs to go somewhere where he his guaranteed number 1 and he might be have to drop to League 1 to do that. Not keen on having Logan has back up, but there's not many keepers out there who will happily sit on the bench.
Narborough_fox Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 Firstly this; Then this; And finally this (9:10) ; Chris. Thanks for the ups but it's time to go.
wellyfox Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 but... Weale exists. *runs and hides* No, you were chanting his name, you wanted him to play. I was happy with Ricardo, he was better than Weale and was very harshly treated for doing next to nothing wrong. With you on this one. I have sounded of in another thread about our fans 75% don't know football they go cos it's the in thing. Also the money we now have really has bought out some idiot's. Weale like some others has done us a good job in the past. (fryatt hume waggy) And treated like gods but we have been at an all time low with them players. They really are not greats. (walsh elliot bank's shilton lennon izzet) They all did it over yrs in the top level not the third and bottom second tier. Then when we get a good player in if he don't do it from the first moment they are deemed shite. This ain't about Sven but most of his players were given no time. He should have got in two wingers too. Becks has hed no service and he is labled shite. Unless we give players time we are gonna get in a bigger mess than we are now. As for Weale many thanks you done us proud but your not what we need now IMHO
SMX11 Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 I think i have been to every game Weale has done his major cock ups and I certainly wouldn't miss him.
StanSP Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 Has to do it in the derby games as well. I know you want to erase it from your memory, but there was one vs Forest as well
Kitchandro Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 I didn't like the way Ricardo was treated but come on, he was no better than Weale for Christ's sake. He made plenty of howlers that no one will give a shit about because his defenders saved his blushes a number of times. He hasn't caught a cross in his career. But the thing that did annoy fans was he was thrust into the team right in the middle of our good run, with Bruma as well, when Weale was in form. Our form started to dip when Sven made these changes. Neither were good enough to be our first choice goalkeeper. Weale was good in our play-off season but has since become a liability. Those 2 goals at Forest in the last 2 seasons were unforgivable.
Karljohn Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 Whats with all the Weale hate?Do you forget last season we were chanting his name because we wanted him to play so bad? Yes, and had reported interest from West Ham aswell when they were in the top flight, our season went down the pan when Mr Ricardo flapped his way in, and its easy to highlight the clangers that Weale dropped because they just happen to be against big east midlands rivals, short memories on here, so much so even Logan is preferred by one or two! Sadly Weale is just another in a long line who had the confidence knocked out of him by Sven, It just so happens that Kasper has been the only decent signing otherwise Weale would be in contention just like the other guys who were dismissed by Sven have found themselves back in action, Dyer, Kennedy and soon Waghorn, I have absolutely no doubt that Hobbs would be in the side at the moment too.
hackneyfox Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 Weale was becoming a liability well before Sven.
The Guvnor Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 Conrad Logan as back up to Kasper no thanks. Why? had fantastic praise from the Gasheads at Brizzle!
Happy Fox Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 Why? had fantastic praise from the Gasheads at Brizzle! League 2 I say no more that is his level, he isn't good enough.
Simo86 Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 Why? had fantastic praise from the Gasheads at Brizzle! He's been on loan at Rotherham this season though
Walshy5 Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 I,ll never e able to forgive him for that Forest cock up last season! Time to go Weale **** OFF YOUR SHIT!

A 79 capped Portuguese international who dumped England out of 2 major championships was no better than a one-time capped England "C" international.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 Yeah I completely agree. A 79 capped Portuguese international who dumped England out of 2 major championships was no better than a one-time capped England "C" international. Well he wasnt as good was he? If thats how it works then Sven must be our all time best manager, he won loads of things in Europe Donkey's years ago, whilst NP is man who has managed the likes of Carlisle. Know who I would rather have. Ricardo couldnt catch, and looked shakey every time he got near the ball. Weale's weakness in long shots let him down, and dont forget we made the PO's with Weale in goal, hardly terrible, he himself got treated badly.
ajthefox Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 Ricardo vs Weale again? Fvcks sake, some people. Weale was brilliant in league one and our first season up, the Derby howler was a complete one off and showing that as if it's representative of his time here is unfair. However, last year he was really poor and he did cost us, I was so gutted after the one at forest last year. I appreciate all the saves he made for us and I think too many people are all too quick to forget how good he was in our play-off season, but there's no doubt about it he doesn't have a future here. He needs a new start at a club where he can get games and we could do with a hungry young keeper who wants to play but understands he won't be first choice.

And I can't resist adding this piece of goalkeeping to the thread, 16 seconds in absolute comedy.
LCFC BEAST Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 Weale signed the summer after promotion. And I can't resist adding this piece of goalkeeping to the thread, 16 seconds in absolute comedy. Better with his head than his feet!
The Guvnor Posted 12 January 2012 Posted 12 January 2012 League 2 I say no more that is his level, he isn't good enough. League one I believe whilst he was there!
Fox1651 Posted 13 January 2012 Posted 13 January 2012 Think we should "Save" him from going to another club
Kitchandro Posted 13 January 2012 Posted 13 January 2012 Yeah I completely agree. A 79 capped Portuguese international who dumped England out of 2 major championships was no better than a one-time capped England "C" international. He was shocking for Portugal other than in Penalty shootouts. In fact we should have knocked them out - remember Ricardo flapping in 2004, Campbell nodding in, and the fair goal being disallowed for a 'foul'? Remember Euro 2008 against Germany? Some of his goalkeeping in that match looked familiar to what I saw from him here. And since when is being a past International the be all and end all? You think James is doing well for Bristol City? Isn't it more relevant what he did here? Your argument is so thin.
funkyrobot Posted 13 January 2012 Posted 13 January 2012 Yes, and had reported interest from West Ham aswell when they were in the top flight, our season went down the pan when Mr Ricardo flapped his way in, and its easy to highlight the clangers that Weale dropped because they just happen to be against big east midlands rivals, short memories on here, so much so even Logan is preferred by one or two!
