Jimmy Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Ricardo was absolutely shocking for city, even Sven realised it In the end. no Sven bowed to the Morons that would chant "WEULL" if Ricardo didn't kick the goal kick to where they wanted, in the end after the cretins, lead by RL, had gotten to the point it was best for everyone for Ricado to be withdrawn from the team
ithuriel Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Ricardo was awful, felt sorry for the guy but he just could not handle crosses into the box, well past his prime unfortunately. Weale has been far more decent for us but a better keeper is now inbetween the sticks.
ajthefox Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Weale signed the summer after promotion. And I can't resist adding this piece of goalkeeping to the thread, 16 seconds in absolute comedy. My mistake. Point still stands about the play-off season though, he was great for us then and everyone knows it. He's fooked me off as much as he has everyone else and I'm not denying he should go but I just wish people could at least be thankful for what good he did. After all, last season was hardly a beacon of light for the rest of the Pearson era was it? Edit: Have to also say I completely agree with Kitchandro. I'm not getting into the argument over who was better but the argument about Ricardo having caps and Weale not is so thin. It's about judging them on how they played for us, not taking an average over their whole career.
Charl91 Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Neither of them are Kasper, but I would have had more faith in Ricardo then Weale in the long run. Most of the goals conceded weren't actually Ricardo's fault.
L4EV Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 You need better back-up than Weale. May I recommend Paul Rachubka
Churchill Posted 20 January 2012 Posted 20 January 2012 Weale was on the form of his life before Ricardo came in and we was on a good little run as well. Ok we needed back up but he dropped Weale for no reason and put Ricardo in then the form dropped and so did Weales confidence.
Fox 4 Life Posted 20 January 2012 Posted 20 January 2012 Anyone else notice Peltier hugging Weale at the end of that Yeovil video, didnt realise they played together before
Krimbinho Posted 20 January 2012 Posted 20 January 2012 Weale was on the form of his life before Ricardo came in and we was on a good little run as well. Ok we needed back up but he dropped Weale for no reason and put Ricardo in then the form dropped and so did Weales confidence. I still don't know why he gets all the stick from people out there! Of course he made some mistakes, but he is by no means a bad keeper. I'm sure he would be number 1 at a lot of Championship clubs! Easily one of the best back-up keepers in the league and a real professional!
hackneyfox Posted 20 January 2012 Posted 20 January 2012 He's fooking dogshit, let's get rid asap, I don't want him ever playing first team football for us again.

In the 11 games prior to Ricardo signing Weale conceded 17 goals... Not saying Ricard was better by any stretch of the imagination, but it's a little unfair on Weale to suggest that was the best form he had ever enjoyed.
chris_lcfc_85 Posted 20 January 2012 Posted 20 January 2012 Guys, the critiscm of Weale is staggering. There's no denying he made some errors last season but the season before in the Championship he was superb!!! Shout for player of the season and kept us in some games! Plus there was a game away to Sheff Utd last season where he was MAGNIFICENT and then Sven dropped him for Ricardo! He's defo a good back up in my eyes and you wont get many better than would be happy to sit sub

Corky Posted 20 January 2012 Posted 20 January 2012 And to think he was on the verge of an England call-up two years ago.
FrankieADZ Posted 20 January 2012 Posted 20 January 2012 Weale has gone on loan to Northampton for a month according to the OS
kingfox Posted 20 January 2012 Posted 20 January 2012 http://www.lcfc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10274~2583378,00.html Yep he has link here. We have recalled Adam Smith, so he will be back up I guess, unless we sign someone else which I think we might.
oadby_fox723 Posted 20 January 2012 Posted 20 January 2012 League 2 is a big drop down for him. Anyone reckon there is a recall clause if the worst happens with Kasper?
hackneyfox Posted 20 January 2012 Posted 20 January 2012 Hurrah I'd have been happier if he'd have left permanently though.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 20 January 2012 Posted 20 January 2012 Weale should be too good for that league.
Lambert09 Posted 20 January 2012 Posted 20 January 2012 He will get lots of shot practice there...will be interesting to see how he does
cc_star Posted 20 January 2012 Posted 20 January 2012 A lot of unnecessary nastiness. Thanks Weale I'll remember the good times.
bluesbrothers Posted 20 January 2012 Posted 20 January 2012 Fair play, I still feel bad for the guy after the way he was frozen out by Sven last season in place of butterfingers Ricardo. A confidence player, but first team football down the M1 is going to do him no harm whatsoever. Good professional too.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 20 January 2012 Posted 20 January 2012 That move is cobblers. its souless comments like that . . . . . . . .
