Ipswich Pre Match

With not a brilliant performance yesterday but a comfortable 4-0 victory over what would you do for the team against Ipswich? Gallagher got one so will he come in for Dyer?

The team I would chose though would be this..

Kasper

Peltier - Morgan - Bamba - Konchesky

Marshall - Drinkwater - King © - Dyer

Nugent - Beckford

Subs: SSL, Gallagher, Wellens, Howard, Schlupp

King will be the only one coming in for me as I think Wellens looked knackered when he went off and with only a days rest would he be able to start a game? I think not!

This is going to be a tough game and I can see us drawing it 1-1 as Ipswich away is not an easy place to go to!

But who knows, hopefully let's give it our all and cheer the team on for 90 minutes! come of you blues

Didnt think Morgan had a great game yesterday. His heading ability (for his build) is questionable for me. I would switch Morgan for SSL.

I would also switch dyer for gallagher. Played well enough yesterday to gain a start, with some nice through balls and the goal of course.

Possibly hopper on the bench instead of howard, but that wont happen.

Team news ahead of Easter Monday's Championship clash between Ipswich and Leicester at Portman Road.

Ipswich welcome Leicester to Portman Road boasting a fully-fit squad, but Paul Jewell is likely to rotate his squad to avoid fatigue setting in.

Jewell left veterans Lee Bowyer and Jason Scotland on the bench for the draw at Derby, and both can expect to add to their substitute appearances from the weekend.

Midfielder Ryan Stevenson and defender Ibrahima Sonko are ready to step into the side should Jewell decide to freshen things up.

The Tractor Boys also have Luke Hyam, Josh Carson and Jimmy Bullard waiting in the wings, providing healthy competition for Jewell's side, who are on a run of just one defeat in nine league games.

Paul Gallagher is pushing for a place in the Leicester starting line-up after returning from injury against Doncaster.

Gallagher had not played since the FA Cup tie at Chelsea in mid-March because of a knee injury, but the Scot resumed training this week and got half-an-hour under his belt on Saturday after coming on as a substitute.

Fellow forwards Darius Vassell (knee) and Martyn Waghorn have also started training again.

Former England international Vassell has played in a practice match, but is not yet ready for a first-team return while Waghorn remains some way off full fitness.

Midfielder Neil Danns will serve the final match of a four-game suspension.

As well as Gallagher, defender Sean St Ledger, fit-again midfielder Andy King and strikers Steve Howard and Jeffrey Schlupp are options for manager Nigel Pearson should he wish to make any changes.

We are due a win at Portman Road, think we'll be up for this one and fancy us 2-0, Gally for Dyer & king for Wellens would not suprise me, purely based on the 2 day factor!

Personally for me I'd prefer SSL and Morgan, if not that then I'd keep Bamba and Morgan, to me SSL has never looked comfortable alongside Bamba.

I like most posters here am feeling a poor performance and a loss coming on, but normally when we have this feeling the team pull off a worldy performance .

I know it's a silly hope but it's the only hope i have so i'm clinging to it .

Everyone is betting us to lose tomorrow, you just never know in this game. Srappy 1-0 win and Nugent with the goal.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Konchesky and or Wellens rested for this game, Kennedy for Konch, and depending on fitness/match readiness either King or Gallagher for Wellens.

I would keep the formation and the only tactical change I would make is at centreback, we didn't look solid against a poor Donny team with Bamba and Morgan, it depends if NP is trying to decide who should be Morgan's partner next season, then bring back SSL for Bamba, or whether Bamba and SSL could work well together, both very mobile and decent on the ball.

I think NP will go for:

Kasper

Peltier SSL Morgan Kennedy

Marshall Drinkwater Wellens Dyer

Nugent Beckford

Subs: King, Gallagher, Konchesky, Schlupp, Bamba

You have to rotate in situations like this, particularly so close to the end of a long season. I don't buy this "don't change a winning team" nonsense, it's part of our lack of consistency that we don't select the team best suited to counter the opposition.

The only exception to this for me is in defence, if you keep a clean sheet you don't want to change much.

Schmeichel

Peltier Morgan Bamba Kennedy

Gallagher Drinkwater King Marshall

Beckford Schlupp

We always lose at Portman Road. Even for the most optimistic fan, our season finally dies here.

We got a 0-0 the last time Pearson took us there.

As long as Stuart Attwell isn't the ref tomorrow, we have some hope of a decent result.
