Looking forward to season 2.  The original theme tune is great and bringing back the hamster wheels for the new season is a great idea.

They still haven't quite replicated the intensity of the originals though.  Duel with Shadow for example cannot be replicated by anyone, that guy was a machine.  Also they don't add in that background music while the round is on which adds to it.

Thought the celebrity special was a damp squib.  They clearly tuned it down for the contestants and the gladiators weren't anywhere near top level.

Thought it was completely worth the Beckett v Legend banter tbh

I have begun Mad Men for the first time. It has Christina Hendricks in it. I like Christina Hendricks, I’d swap my wife for her. Or have her along with my wife, I’m sure the three of us could work something out like adults.

One of my absolute favourite shows.

I'm a bit discombobulated as I was expecting mafia plotlines rather than 1950s alcoholics.

Anyone watch From? I'm a couple of episodes in to the season 2 and I'm still undecided on it

I gave up a couple of episodes into season 3. It just goes on and on and on, and you get no answers.

Great show. Never mind Christina Hendricks though, you can have her if I can have Alison Brie and Jessica Pare

Is this legal? I mean, it doesn't feel legal, but if this is legal then I'm in.

Genuinely don't think it gets better than The Sopranos. It ticks every box. The glamorous and beautiful side of the mafia, brilliant character development, comedic genius and it's all so believable.

Your wife might want to include Jon Hamm as part of the deal

At the risk of becoming all 1970s social club comedian, she is welcome to what and whoever.

I think they underplayed the glamour side.  It was mainly four or five guys sitting in the back office of a strip club.  There were some great characters, but all of them were repulsive in their own way, even ‘innocent family members’.  The ending of course was a little controversial!   I actually preferred The Wire.

Mad Men is great, really enjoyed it. Coincidentally I'm watching a series called Good Girls with Christina Hendricks in which is decent enough.

On Call has Southland vibes about it, hope it's anywhere near as half as good!

Watched the trailer and got the same impression. Probably setting myself up to be disappointed lol

I think that's what's niggling about it, the general action etc is pretty entertaining but the actual plot and where it goes in terms of answers leaves me unsure

Not the same levels but it fills a gap.

American Primeval on Netflix, absolutely brilliant!

Just started it, but I would agree so far.  I am getting 1883 vibes, but much more violent. Some familiar, if not big names names in the cast.
