leicesterisme Posted 16 May 2012 Posted 16 May 2012 Richards is twice the player of Johnson, how can Johnson be picked, he's absolutely terrible!
Guest ttfn Posted 16 May 2012 Posted 16 May 2012 Really hoping Joe Cole and Scholes are in. Weird if Johnson's in ahead of Richards but in Roy we trust. No idea why people are getting so worked up over Crouch. We need a centre forward who is strong and works the channels. Crouch does neither; he's built a career smashing 2s and 3s past no hopers.
Jimothy Posted 16 May 2012 Posted 16 May 2012 Can live with Rio not going. He's unfit, and not in the greatest form. Even Fergie admits he can't play two games in a week, something needed at a International tournament. Gutted about Richards, clearly England's best RB and should have pushing Walker for a start, not left out despite Walker's injury. The way Richards can get up and down the wing is second to none, and he's a beast at the back too. Shocking decision to leave him out. I can cope with Crouch being left out, if we take Holt. If we're leaving him out for Zamora or Carroll I'll be pissed. At least with Holt we're taking a chance on someone who has a good season. Carroll and Zamora haven't shown any form this year, so to take them over Crouch would be crazy. Hoping Walcott and Oxlade-Chamberlain go, the pace of those two could be a deciding factor. Walcott has added a lot to his game this season and Oxlade-Chamberlain is a really exciting player who can turn games.
AyewJoking Posted 16 May 2012 Posted 16 May 2012 Not taking Richards is a joke! Massive pressure on whoever plays right back now. As for Zamora.........Jesus Christ!! Was Roy at Fulham the same time as Zamora? I feared he would favour players he has worked with. I'd rather have Michael Owen than Zamora.
WardyisPukka Posted 16 May 2012 Posted 16 May 2012 Joe Cole has had a pretty good season at Lille! if you look at some of his goals - Richards should at least be back up to Johnson but reckon Phil Jones will be as he can play there aswell but hes had a shit 2nd half season so poor decision by RH
goose2010 Posted 16 May 2012 Posted 16 May 2012 in them four minute joe cole has done more than Downing/A.Johnson/wallcott and the ox put together! I hope he is in the squad to be honest!
The Blur Posted 16 May 2012 Posted 16 May 2012 Like everyone on here has said- Ferdinand is on a slow decline and can't cope with the current demands- Better to give likes of Cahill few more game-times. I would have picked Richards but play him against Norway and Belgium to see if he can hack it at international level again es[ecially playing against Hazard, he hasn't played for England for a while. Crouch should be in the squad, he is miles better than likes of Zamora and it would be pointless to cap Holt as we got a couple of promising prospects (Sturridge and Welbeck) so give them some games to develop. Carroll has came in some form at last so it may be an ample time to take him to Euros. I hope De Laet would be playing in Belgium game so we could check him out!
Manwell Pablo Posted 16 May 2012 Posted 16 May 2012 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18081125 Great news, If your French or Sweedish.
Corky Posted 16 May 2012 Posted 16 May 2012 "Rich vein of form?" One and a half good matches against Chelsea.
Manwell Pablo Posted 16 May 2012 Posted 16 May 2012 "Rich vein of form?" One and a half good matches against Chelsea. It could get worse yet, Downing could make the squad.

martyn Posted 16 May 2012 Posted 16 May 2012 Standby: Butland, Jagielka, Henderson, Adam Johnson, Sturridge
ousefox Posted 16 May 2012 Posted 16 May 2012 Just realised how weak our squad is Annoyed Scholes isn't in it. Glad Defoe is. At least there won't be much expectation.
lcfcsnow Posted 16 May 2012 Posted 16 May 2012 So the old guard remain, will we ever learn? The inclusion of Downing is a disgrace. And Defoe over Sturridge?
Jimothy Posted 16 May 2012 Posted 16 May 2012 Downing?!?!?! WTF? And I'd rather take an injured Darren Bent than Andy Carroll!!!!!
martyn Posted 16 May 2012 Posted 16 May 2012 Was hoping Scholes would get in. Think Carrick has been overlooked, had a very decent season at Man Utd and would be the best ball retainer in the midfield area. Carroll in ahead of Crouch (or even Holt maybe) is strange. Seems all you need to do is impress in a televised game or 2 at the end of a season.
James18 Posted 16 May 2012 Posted 16 May 2012 Hahaha! What a shocker! No Holt and the inclusion of Downing is just too wrong.
