Collymore Posted 22 July 2012 Posted 22 July 2012 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2177395/Leicester-sign-Zak-Whitbread.html?ito=feeds-newsxml Confirmed by the mail. Great signing.
Collymore Posted 22 July 2012 Author Posted 22 July 2012 If you google whitbread, it says he's signed so was going off that
Jordan Posted 23 July 2012 Posted 23 July 2012 There's too much smoke about this to not have any fire. He'll be the first American (well, he is, kind of) at City since Kasey Keller went to Rayo in 1999. Welcome aboard, Zak!
MPH Posted 23 July 2012 Posted 23 July 2012 If the chap had been banned from driving in June, then he would not of been able to sign for us, he claims. ( currently has 17 points on his liscence!)
Leicester_Numan Posted 23 July 2012 Posted 23 July 2012 Great if he has signed but it's not been confirmed by any of the usual sources yet
StanSP Posted 23 July 2012 Posted 23 July 2012 Check the caption of the picture. 'Last seen at Norwich in the Premier League'. They make it sound like he's gone missing .
Jace Posted 23 July 2012 Posted 23 July 2012 I'm going to Turkey on Wednesday I wonder if it will be updated on the OS by the time I get back
Leicfox Posted 23 July 2012 Posted 23 July 2012 I'm sure this will definitely become official sooner or later. Good player - good signing especially on a free.
Simmo86 Posted 23 July 2012 Posted 23 July 2012 Loved him ever since he got knocked unconscious against Leeds in the L1 playoff semi but played on. Would put his head where you wouldn't put a hammer! Nails
Fox92 Posted 23 July 2012 Posted 23 July 2012 Just hope he can stay clear of injuries, because he's had a fair few.
TrentFox Posted 23 July 2012 Posted 23 July 2012 Just hope he can stay clear of injuries, because he's had a fair few. The way he is allegedly accumulating driving points, this may not be as flippant as it sounds ! Good luck to the guy if he signs - look forward to seeing what he can offer.
Dr The Singh Posted 23 July 2012 Posted 23 July 2012 Good signing, if he remains problem free......well done Nige
Fox42 Posted 23 July 2012 Posted 23 July 2012 The word "injury" appears 10 times on his Wikipedia page
Nick Posted 23 July 2012 Posted 23 July 2012 He's partnered RDL whilst with the canaries - not in too many matches but they will certainly know each other well.
Ric Flair Posted 23 July 2012 Posted 23 July 2012 He's worth the risk. If he gives us 30 games then I'll be happy. Free transfer, solid defender who won't make sloppy mistakes, time and time again. Pearson can and will strengthen at the back if needs be throughout the season, anyway.
TrentFox Posted 23 July 2012 Posted 23 July 2012 Anyone else think that's the back 5 sorted ? Schmeichel De Laet Morgan Whitbread Konchesky ?? *Just spotted that "Father Ted" posted almost exactly same last night elsewhere. Apologies !
sdb Posted 23 July 2012 Posted 23 July 2012 Think so. Looks decent, although probably not as good on paper as our back 4 last season dare I say?!
Mark_w Posted 23 July 2012 Posted 23 July 2012 Think so. Looks decent, although probably not as good on paper as our back 4 last season dare I say?! Neither is Morrison, Hobbs, Brown, Berner. Just because the players don't have such a high reputation doesn't mean it's going to be any worse in practice.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 23 July 2012 Posted 23 July 2012 Anyone else think that's the back 5 sorted ? Schmeichel De Laet Morgan Whitbread Konchesky ?? *Just spotted that "Father Ted" posted almost exactly same last night elsewhere. Apologies ! I'm liking the look of that, looks much more solid than any of the setups from last season
skinnydipper Posted 23 July 2012 Posted 23 July 2012 Wonder who'll have more points by the end of October - Zak or LCFC
