davieG Posted 27 July 2012 Posted 27 July 2012 OS Kasper Schmeichel will return to the Leicester City squad this weekend, as the Foxes continue their pre-season friendly programme at Shrewsbury Town. But Jermaine Beckford, who is suffering from illness, along with Sean St. Ledger and Zak Whitbread, who only reported for pre-season this week, will not be in contention. Like St. Ledger, Schmeichel's involvement at Euro 2012 meant he reported back later than the majority of the group - the Dane joining Nigel Pearson's squad halfway through their Austrian training camp last week. And having watched from the stands on Tuesday night as his team-mates made a winning start to pre-season at Hinckley United, Schmeichel will make his return to action in a City shirt at Greenhous Meadow on Saturday. Elsewhere, City boss Pearson is likely to call on much of the same personnel involved in Tuesday's 4-1 victory at the Greene King Stadium, as the Foxes squad continue their preparations for the 2012/13 campaign. Against the Knitters in midweek, Pearson gave 45 minutes of action to 22 members of his squad by fielding a different XI in each half - Andy King, David Nugent, Jamie Vardy and Ben Marshall all on-target in a useful workout. Tickets for Saturday's game at Shrewsbury Town are available from Greenhous Meadow on the day of the game, priced as follows: Adults: £10 Concessions: £5 Family Ticket (1 Adult and 2 Under-16s): £15
