Burmesefox Posted 6 August 2012 Posted 6 August 2012 Don't need any more 'up their own arse' type of players who likes to have the odd rant at the ref etc. Non, merci. Like Howard....
kingfox Posted 6 August 2012 Posted 6 August 2012 Apparently he's a right big head. Yes Gerrard certainly is! Yes, just to piss kingfox off. Probably the most sense anybody has talked on here in a long time. Who are we talking about Gerrard or KingFox? Your brain cells are quite small aren't they.

Guest Col city fan Posted 6 August 2012 Posted 6 August 2012 Kingfox with maturity you will learn that sometimes you just have to put your spade away! It's still going strong this thread....
Leicester_Loyal Posted 6 August 2012 Posted 6 August 2012 @TonyRivers1927: A little snippet of #CCFC news. Anthony Gerrard on his way to Huddersfield Town. Deal probably concluded tomorrow

Oadby Fox Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 Reports emerging from south Wales last night suggested the Bluebirds have accepted a bid of around £400,000 for Gerrard from the Foxes, who are desperate to find a replacement for injured skipper Sean St Ledger before the season kicks off next week. http://www.thisisbristol.co.uk/story-16660296-detail/story.html

bald reynard Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 @TonyRivers1927: A little snippet of #CCFC news. Anthony Gerrard on his way to Huddersfield Town. Deal probably concluded tomorrow I wonder whether Nige has switched his attention to Daniel Ayala now - as there've been reports of Norwich selling him to Forest. Pearson has always been a fan of Ayala - and if Norwich are prepared to sell ?!

bald reynard Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 I heard that It was suppose to be a season long loan? Hasnt Pearson signed Ayala before? Well, I would guess a season long loan would also suit us as well (he would probably only really be needed a cover for Whitbread, after all). In answer to your question about Nige and Ayala - yes, Pearson borrowed him (from Liverpoool) the season before last - and he played about a dozen games for Hull. I think he did really well and Nige wanted to buy him - but Liverpool (then) were'nt prepared to sell. He then went on loan to Derby. Liverpool finally sold him to Norwich (for £800k) last summer - but he only played 7 games last season (partnering Whitbread for some !), because of injury.

Well we need another centre back so if, he available for under 1m then I Carnt see why not?
Leicester_Numan Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 Just read on twitter that Huddersfield are poised to sign Gerrard on a 3 year deal
Cropwellfox Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 Sky reporting Gerrard is signing for Huddersfield. 3 yr deal. Big shame. Very short of cover at the back now.
Leicester_Numan Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 Probably doesn't want to be just a back up defender. Maybe we should try and get someone on a seasons loan instead
Burmesefox Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 annoying as thought Gerrard would do a good job for us.
Milton Keynes Fox Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 How does Huddersfield have more potential than us?
Happy Fox Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 He isn't great so it isn't a loss in all honesty think we can do better imo. Someone like Maguire, or Dawson on loan would be far better choices young, hungry and have the potential to do good things.
indierich06 Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 How does Huddersfield have more potential than us? Maybe he'd rather be a first team regular than a back-up player? It's pretty obvious that he'd be back up to Morgan, Whitbread and St Ledger. Nothing to do with the stature or potential of either club, he's obviously going to the one where he'll get the most first team football.
Burmesefox Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 How does Huddersfield have more potential than us? Guarantee of first team football closer to his home which i believe is warrington?
