SeCrEt FoX Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 How does Huddersfield have more potential than us? He has probably been on here reading all this and thought "fvck that"
Tielemans63 Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 How does Huddersfield have more potential than us? It's prob that it's much closer to home for him and they are prob offering him a guaranteed first team spot.
foxfanazer Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 Maybe he'd rather be a first team regular than a back-up player? It's pretty obvious that he'd be back up to Morgan, Whitbread and St Ledger. Nothing to do with the stature or potential of either club, he's obviously going to the one where he'll get the most first team football. Fair play to him then. Shows he isn't a complete knob like some have made him out to be
Tielemans63 Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 I'm sure NP has other irons in the fire - I hope so as we need some cover and soon! Ayala would be great.
TrentFox Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 I'm really concerned about KingFox - we haven't heard from him since this story broke. Can someone nip round his house and make sure he hasn't injured himself in some strange celebration routine ???
Babylon Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 Great news, he's medicore at best. What brilliant centre back would you buy for a few 100k to sit on the bench half the time then?
Happy Fox Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 What brilliant centre back would you buy for a few 100k to sit on the bench half the time then? Loan one, from the prem..
Babylon Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 Loan one, from the prem.. Who's available that's good enough? What teams are willing to loan out there players knowing first team chances will be limited? Who will loan you someone for a year rather than a 6 months and under? It's a bit harder than just saying "loan someone".
lcfcsnow Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 What brilliant centre back would you buy for a few 100k to sit on the bench half the time then? Well for starters I wouldn't, I'd spend the required amount on a good centre back to give us a better shot at promotion instead of having 4 very very average central defenders. But then I wouldn't have 5 central box to box midfielders at the club either, none of which offer any creativity or steel in the middle of midfield. But what do I know
Fox92 Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 Personally not that bothered... We probably need another back up centre half (better if it would be a loan signing imo) but I've never rated Anthony Gerrard. Ok, he had some good reviews from the Hull fans, but I'm really not bothered if it's true that he has turned us down.
Deucalion Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 Has he turned us down? He probably wants first team football and I wouldn't blame him to be honest.

But what do I know I presume you would also put in the money out of your own pocket to do so?
adz_90 Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 Loan one, from the prem.. i'd love chalobah from chelsea on loan, sure i've read somewhere that di matteo is prepared to loan him out to a championship club to gain competitive first team experience. He'd be perfect cover for morgan and whitbread and could potentially push for a start
lcfcsnow Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 I presume you would also put in the money out of your own pocket to do so? No, I would do all I could to offload players not good enough to free up funds and you know who those are.
teblin Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 Shame he would be a steady deputy. Loan player might be the option.
Ric Flair Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 He lives in Warrington, I can only assume it's more convenient for him to go to Huddersfield than us. Worrying if not, haha!
muzzy1981 Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 Whoever said this is all but done awaiting announcement from the board today is in the word of Jeremy Kyle 'a downright liar"!
foxfanazer Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 Whoever said this is all but done awaiting announcement from the board today is in the word of Jeremy Kyle 'a downright liar"! Yeah "they should've out something on the end of it" like....bullshit!
jock2612 Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 Think this is a shame.A CB buy/loan is vital this week.ZW although a good player fitness record is appalling and the youth players are not ready. We need a good solid start and being unsettled at the heart of the defence is not good.NP really needs to get it sorted but it dosent help if the player coming in thinks he is only here to cver for SSL.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 7 August 2012 Posted 7 August 2012 Of course it may have been NP who has switched targets rather than Gerrard turning us down. I wonder if he is tempted to go for Ayala if he is available...
