Full Kit Wanke*s

Replica shirts are fine, I don't wear them myself but would never denigrate anybody who would. There's nothing wrong with showing pride in your team's colours after all.

But the FULL KIT?! I honestly think the cut off point for that shit at a game is about 12. It's be passable at five-a-side but I'd still feel a bit on the awkward side.

I mean, just look! Literally speechless!

There was a kid at our school who used to change into FULL England kit at break times and..... CAPTAINS ARMBAND!!!

One of the few times a Roy Keane tackle becomes acceptable.

I tend to wear training kit when working out etc.. and Shorts are fantastic for lazing about in - but the whole kit? Nah

Agreed, this is what I do.

I wear my shirt and training shirt on holiday as well. Other fans seem to do it as well, regardless of age, and everyone just talks to each other.

I own a couple of City and a couple of Wales shirts, I play fives and sixes in 'em. I've worn a Leicester shirt to the game a couple of times with a pair of jeans, I generally think anyone who has a problem with wearing shirts to games is the sort of sad, pretentious little boy who's far more immature than the "adults" he's bemoaning and is a little too obsessed with casual-chic.

Wearing a full kit out and about is a little bit odd, though.

Only happens with Liverpool fans lol

Dirty people they are, despise Liverpool fans and Liverpool players.

Only see kids in full kits nowadays if your above the age of 14 seen wearing one, then they should be classed as full kit wanke*s.

Yes the full kit at anything over 16 looks bad and i would only wear a shirt to play in or go to the city games in .I have not done that since i was about 18 tho basically because i feel like a chav in one. I do not see the problem with others who wear it else where tho.

Once you start a full time job, you should only wear a football shirt if you're playing, or on holiday.

Exception to the rule being England major tournaments.

Good rule to live by.

Don't like replicas myself but know good lads who wear them to games. Far more offended by anyone from the chino willy puller brigade in a City end if I'm honest.

Jester's hats should be banned immediately.

lol First time I've heard the term FKW.

These photos are hilarious, but there's no way that dude is an authentic FKW. He's wearing brown wing tips, which (although hilarious footwear for such an outfit) suggests to me he lost a bet at the office to a Liverpool fan and was forced to change into a full Steven Gerrard kit.

Then again, perhaps this is real, as the scenario above would mean a scouser has a job...

I think this must be mainly a Liverpool phenomenon. I've only ever seen one adult FKW. I was on holiday at the seaside (can't remember where exactly) when I was a kid. It was a quite fat middle-aged bloke in some lower league team's full kit. He did look like a p rick.

Surely the Gerrard bloke is going to a fancy dress party, the fat boy on the street sign is resting after a game of heads and vollies and looks like the Dalgleish one is actually at Anfield (could be wrong) which isnt so outrageous.

You are all PLASTIC.

I wear the full kit, sleep in City PJ's, under a city Duvet cover, dry myself with a city towel, keep my money in a city wallet and im just trying to find a way to wear my city cufflinks that match so nicely with my City watch and Tie.

Pffftttttttt ... support your team you losers

I always felt weird a bout playing 5 a side in full kit so just used to wear a leicester top and plain white nike shorts

You put the City shorts on first, had a look in the mirror and realised it wasnt quite right?

Posted

I always wear one of our shirts around the house and at games, and sometimes when I visit other Cities/places just to spread the love :) (Went to Stratford the other week and I will not be in a place which has more Coventry shirts than Leicester shirts, even if that happened at the Ricoh I'd be a bit disappointed.)

I don't think it looks terrible if you wear a City shirt out and about as long as you're not going somewhere nice like a restaurant, though people who do tend to be teenagers or fat over 40s with their kids.

Obviously the term full kit willy puller speaks for itself lol

Had the full kit when I was 8, had some shirts since.

Would only wear the full kit for playing, not everyday life such as shopping/travelling etc.

Adults wearing shirts to games is fine.

I am of the opinion that when you reach a certain age you shouldn't wear football shirts. Just to make it clear, this is my opinion...

I am not sure what the "certain age is" though. Anyone else think this?

I still buy the shirt, but I just wear it when I have training or any other sports activities (same with my England shirt). I think wearing the full kit as an adult is simply

embarrassing. It actually makes me cringe seeing adults wearing the shirt over the top of their jumpers or coats. But each to their own, I certainly wouldn't go to the

effort of pointing it out to the individual, at the end of the day its their way of showing their support.

I'm ready to be shot down!

This.

I think that certain age is 12. The day someone becomes a teenager, it simply has to stop.

FKWs are not confined to Scousers - this dude had no business wearing a full kit but thought it would look cool to do so:

I had this page open on my laptop and my missus pointed out the following reason (to add to all the other reasons) why JT is evil:
