Danns to Leeds.....

So confused. Is that Danns denying it, or is it him basically confirming it will be on the official site later? Either way i'm guessing he didn't want Gally to tweet it, or his bro in law (the less said about this fame hungry wannabe the better)

I don't really understand what the debate is about here, if we accept that Danns needs match time to gain full fitness, surely a loan works best. If as a team we have moved forward then this is because we have better players or players better suited to the current system. As fourth choice and possible Wellens pushing further down the order this as to be a footballing choice. If he is judged on THIS seasons performances then how many chances would he like ? It is time for him to move on as he is clearly not what is required.

I think it's fair to say he has tried and last season when play in CM did his best, puts himself around a lot but still came up short, and will only come into the reckoning if we are short of players so lets get him fit and see how the season works out.

Is it just me, or have all Svens signings got the arse and wanted to leave immediately after getting benched? Really does look like we just bought a bunch of ego's. Thought these people were supposed to be professional footballers, its like being back at primary school.

Hopefully, King will be able to lead the midfield going forward - after all the promise he's shown in the past, this is finally the season to prove himself.

We needed an attacking midfielder so dearly in the past and Danns didn't fit that profile.

I'm somewhat disappointed to see him go (out on loan), since he came across as a genuinely decent and funny character. Yet when it comes to being an example...

I do hope the time at Leeds will do him some good, allow him to prosper only to come back to us a better player.

I don'think think anyone's got the arse or fallen out with Pearson, it's just football, players come and go, players want to play, Pearson can only play 11 at a time and doesn't think the best thing is rotation for the sake of it.

A loan can only benefit both parties, worse case scenario is Danns plays well at Leeds and they make an offer in Jan, we profit on a free transfer and have funds to replace him, or Danns is shite at Leeds comes back with no form or fitness and we are no better off than we are now, except someone else paid his wages for a month.

This forum is so fickle.... Lets not forget that ALOT of you on here last season were slating Andy King and saying he's overrated etc and that he offers nothing, Danns is better etc and now a year on, the tables have turned and everyone is backing King but calling Danns.

I think both are good players and always have been but at this moment in time, King is in form, Danns isnt so King plays. SIMPLE

I have never slated King and always said he was a quality player, even when others haven't agreed. On the other hand, I was underwhelmed when Danns signed, as I have always thought he is a bang average central midfielder and if we're entertaining the idea of putting together a promotion winning side, he's not the answer.

Im not saying everyone mate to be fair but the criticism levels of King on here were embarrassing after everything he's done for us. The guy was simply out of form and needed time.

I agree Danns is ok but nothing better, still a decent player at this level and no need for people to slate the guy

Like you, I have always been a big supporter of King, the first time I saw Danns really play was forest away last season, and in the first half, when we dominated, I thought he looked like a great signing, powerful, strong, running at the opposition with the ball, getting in the box, creating chances.

I thought we had got a real gem, but his performances dropped off, understandably with the upheaval that was to follow. Even when he regained his form though his passing was still atrocious at times, like Beckford, I don't understand how professional footballers can't perform the basics, such as passing and controlling the ball, his positional sense wasn't the best either, but his energy and speed would normally make up for that.

Ultimately though for Danns, it was his recklessness and 2 red cards that really cost him last season and this season, he has been poor when he has played, if he can get some form back, and challenge for a place great, if not, then I won't miss him, nice guy, clearly got a personality and some good "bantoh", but really he is a poor man's Robbie Savage and we don't play in the right formation to accomodate such a sloppy passer in the middle.

I do understand what your saying, but i mean just check out Svens signings

Pantsil - Immediately requested a transfer when Sven went

Fernandez - Immediately requested a transfer when Sven went

Peltier - Got dropped, immediately wanted a move

Mills - Fell out with Pearson

Sol Bamba - Got dropped, immediately wanted a move

Nuge - Got dropped, started posting remarks on twitter

St Ledger - Got dropped, immediately requested a move

Danns - Gets dropped, immediately wants a move

Has everyone who's slating Dannsy forgotten Chelsea away last year???

The guy was immense and I even had my mates, who support premiership clubs and have kind of lost track on Leicester players in the past few years, came up to me and said "You lot done well today, that guy with dreadlocks looks a great player"

I'm telling you this guy, in my eyes, is atleast a squad player. I think there will be times this season where we got rolled over in midfield, because i believe, although he's started the season well, that Andy King can go missing and sometimes looks too lightweight. In these situation, Danns would be the perfect substitute.

Id keep him here, seems like he gets on well with all the lads in dressing room and one of the characters in the team

Probably gonna get slated for this (won't be the first time) but don't be TOO quick to believe Andy King is the answer to all the problems we have had in midfield.

Yes, he scores a lot of goals for a midfield player which is a massive plus to any team.

Yes, he's started this season well.

However, I maintain, having watched King home and away for quite some time now, that he CAN get overrun, and he CAN disappear in some games. Especially away from home I've left grounds thinking 'what happened to King today' 'he just wasn't in the game'.

What I'm hoping is this... I think King needs energy around him (Drinky) to be able to play his composed, intelligent game and this makes me wonder whether playing alongside Wellens actually thwarted King's style to some extent, as Wellens is no longer the energetic little player he once was.

Therefore I'm hoping that King is now going to have a settled time in a side which enables him to play his natural game. I also think his injury knocked him back more than most people thought.

So, I'm fully behind King but, I'm gonna wait and watch to see how he progresses this season before raising expectations on the player once more.

Posted

I'm the opposite, I NEVER watch anything that happens within ten yards of the ball.

It's only natural to watch what happens by the ball, I do it naturally at times but when you pay more attention elsewhere you see why certain things happen - King's actually a superb defending midfielder and attacking, he's got the best reading of the game of any player at the club.

His reading of the game and finishing alone will carry him to the Premier League.

What an absolute 24 carat cvnt Gally's brother in law is. I'm hoping to get an argument with the stupid deluded bastard on Twitter.

If Danns leaves, it will have the same impact that the others leaving has had.

None.

When he signed, I was quite happy as he was well thought of at Palace and higher profile teams were after him. I've been left with nothing but disappointment. Even during his good spell at the end of last season he looked ordinary at best. Doesnt really have any redeeming features at all that makes me think he's worth keeping even as a squad player.

Plenty of heart dont get me wrong, but he is just a number making up the squad. In my eyes he offers nothing more.

It could be argued that it's kind of what they are doing - just not in the way that we would all hope for.

First off you are guessing the players wanted to move. There is a big difference between a player wanting a move and the club accepting a bid from another team and the player agreeing to go.

Players wanting to go for first team football isn't new. The same can be said of people like Fryatt and Hobbs when Sven dropped them.

One good game against Chelsea doth not a good player make.... ask Junior Lewis.

Danns is a decent player to have about, i'm not sure about James and Wellens being backup as they have much to prove.

The reason for all these requests, may well lie at the door of you know who. :dunno:

That wasn't Danns only decent game.

He has a string of them once he was played in the middle where he belongs rather than wide.

Only ended by a red card and injury.

Posted

He has his faults but it is shameful that we are letting Danns out on loan when our only other options should an injury occur in central midfield are James and Wellens - these pair should be out on loan they are just not upto it. Are we aiming for promotion or not? Hopefully Pearson will be gone and we'll have a manager who can manage players when Danns returns.

Posted

I find it odd that people are slating Pearson when he himself managed to get the best we've seen from Danns.

Sven didn't use him well at all.

Posted

This is a reference to the fact that the communication with players is abysmal.

Yes, that is what it is, it is definitely not Danns saying that he is a Leicester player until you hear otherwise, from him or an official source, there is definitely something to be read between the lines in every fvcking thing, that every fvcker tweets, they are all sending out coded messages just for you...
