To believe that nothing would come of this having flaunted it about in a country which has more liberal views in relation to sunbathing etiquette, what do you expect? Grotesque? , take yourself to the south of France, Italy, Germany, you name it, and there's nothing grotesque about it. Pair of them are stupid and naive. This is such a specious argument. If a woman takes her top off to sunbathe on a beach, she does so in the knowledge that she is doing so in a public place, and is presumably happy for other people to see her that way. If a woman takes her top off to sunbathe on private property (and by all accounts this private property is rural and pretty secluded), I think she has a reasonable expectation of privacy. To bring 'beach etiquette' and 'cultural attitudes to nudity' just obfuscates the central issue really. I don't think there's anything 'grotesque' about women taking their tops off on the beach, but it's not really the point. Where does your argument end? Would a magazine have the right to publish photos of someone naked in their kitchen? What about in an open-plan living room? The shower?
