Haydos Posted 16 October 2012 Posted 16 October 2012 Only attack-minded players then... ? Yeah, defenders and keepers get their own category. Defending is different, i can't be arsed to argue why
Guest MattP Posted 16 October 2012 Posted 16 October 2012 Only attack-minded players then... ? Always will be, goals win games, creativity has become more important as the game has developed. No defender comes close to the top 10/15 attackers in the World in actual footballing ability. If they were blessed with that they wouldn't be defenders.
Mark_w Posted 16 October 2012 Posted 16 October 2012 Cristiano Ronaldo. Can't believe some are putting Knockaert below him.
foxesfan1989 Posted 16 October 2012 Posted 16 October 2012 Only attack-minded players then... ? Goals is just a really easy, lazy way to measure performance unfortunately.
Haydos Posted 16 October 2012 Posted 16 October 2012 Goals is just a really easy, lazy way to measure performance unfortunately. Yeah, it isn't really about the goals at the end of the day.
Ashley Posted 16 October 2012 Posted 16 October 2012 Can't believe Xavi is only been mentioned twice.
jonthefox Posted 16 October 2012 Posted 16 October 2012 Looks like its down to me to fill in the inevitable wellens gag. oh, and add a
Bert Posted 16 October 2012 Posted 16 October 2012 Iniesta. Closely followed by Xavi and Falcao. The fact Redknapp compared Bale to Messi and Ronaldo says what a complete clown he actually is. /thread.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 16 October 2012 Posted 16 October 2012 Xavi, I'd even consider him on a par with CR for 2nd place. Ronaldo has a far better allround game than Messi. He is imo the greatest player of my lifetime. He can do anything. In fact I bet he would be decent in goal as well.

Guest shearfox Posted 16 October 2012 Posted 16 October 2012 Knockaert... Infact he is the best so it is Ronaldo haha..

I personally think CR's overrated. Surprised by how many people rate Iniesta higher than Xavi as well. In my eyes Xavi is right up there in 2nd place, absolutely top, top player.

Xavi is almost certainly the best passer of the ball but Iniesta is close behind and has a better all round game imo.
Corky Posted 16 October 2012 Posted 16 October 2012 The fact Redknapp compared Bale to Messi and Ronaldo says what a complete clown he actually is. You can see why the press love him, when he comes out with this stuff. People will discuss it. No doubt when he joins us Liam Moore will be the new Cafu within a couple of months.
Kitchandro Posted 16 October 2012 Posted 16 October 2012 Xavi is almost certainly the best passer of the ball but Iniesta is close behind and has a better all round game imo. Yeh I agree. He's more of a goal threat which is pretty significant.

I'd say it's a bit early to include Falcao in that company, but otherwise can't argue with that. I'd say Pirlo and Alonso should also be considered.

They're obviously amongst the best players in the world but they specialise too much in one thing for me.
