Finnegan Posted 18 October 2012 Posted 18 October 2012 Both should be charged, though. They're not suggesting both should receive the same punishment but clearly Rose reacted physically and you can't do that and expect to escape punishment, however noble your intent.

They're not suggesting both should receive the same punishment but clearly Rose reacted physically and you can't do that and expect to escape punishment, however noble your intent. You are correct, but if Rose had not reacted and there had not been a brawl, would UEFA just sweep the racism under the carpet (as they may well still do with another paltry fine)? I can't help feel that somebody needs to take a stand and walk off the pitch when there is blatant racism from the stands. I would be happy if the England team walked off the pitch and refused to play, even if it meant a punishment for us. Either way, it needs the biggest stars in the game to do something if the authorities aren't willing. If the two biggest names in the game, Messi and Ronaldo, walked off the pitch and refused to play because they heard racist abuse directed at team-mates or opposing players, you can bet your last pound that the footballing authorities, under pressure from sponsors and the media, would act rather sharpish.

By kicking a fcuking ball away???
Leicfox Posted 18 October 2012 Posted 18 October 2012 How? By kicking a fcuking ball away??? If you read the Serbian statement, it only denies the racist comments before and during the game. The evidence we have seen and heard is only what happened after the game had finished. Serbian FA were very clever with their statement and no doubt that's why they singled out Rose and will use that as evidence that he provoked their fans which is what they claim. Rose even admits he "lost" it after an hour during the game. All evidence which will go against him.
Samilktray Posted 18 October 2012 Posted 18 October 2012 What a joke it would be if Danny Rose receives any punishment for this

English FA should grow a pair of balls ver this and fight it out with the old twats at FIFAUEFA P.S who's the ONE person who voted no punishment?? Nick fcuking Griffins on here is he???
Leicfox Posted 18 October 2012 Posted 18 October 2012 Would there have been no FIFAUEFA pissants there to hear/see the shite for themselves? English FA should grow a pair of balls ver this and fight it out with the old twats at FIFAUEFA The representatives if any were at the game would probably think England were to blame for deliberately provoking the Serbs by playing black players. That's how out of touch these old muppets are that run the game. I won't hold my breath regarding The FA growing a pair so I think PLAYER POWER needs to be the key here and for them to take a stand and stick together, maybe a strike or something as I'm sure the sponsors and such would be on to FIFA/UEFA in a flash to sort it out when money is being lost. Or even better but it's dreaming, we could propose to other countries to break away from FIFA/UEFA and start again under a new body with new rules.
Adster Posted 18 October 2012 Posted 18 October 2012 I've not really been one to read properly into racism in football up until around the past month. Call me an idiot. But can someone please enlighten me as to why monkey chants are classed as racist?

Adster Posted 18 October 2012 Posted 18 October 2012 I was waiting for that, to be honest. I think I have it now anyway.
RedHux Posted 18 October 2012 Posted 18 October 2012 I enjoyed a Serb delegate on the radio today claiming that "Serbs have never been racist, and our history proves that." Short memory that bloke.

In my view, they should have to play the next two home games behind closed doors and should cop a big fine £250k - £500k. I don't think banning Serbia from competitions / tournaments will solve any problems tbh. I think it's unfair to punish the players for what the fans have done - if indeed the players are innocent.
Daggers Posted 18 October 2012 Posted 18 October 2012 Marvellous creatures. Truly marvellous creatures.
Raj Posted 20 October 2012 Posted 20 October 2012 Jason Roberts and Ferdy Snr both elected NOT to wear the Kick it Out T shirts. Surely someone the calibre of Ferdy and his million followers on twitter can DO more about the situation instead of getting stroppy and not joining the campaign???
purpleronnie Posted 20 October 2012 Posted 20 October 2012 seems a silly reaction, not sure what they want 'kick racism out of football' to do?...they do everything within their power (and funding).
Raj Posted 20 October 2012 Posted 20 October 2012 seems a silly reaction, not sure what they want 'kick racism out of football' to do?...they do everything within their power (and funding). My thoughts exactly. Seems abit petty to see pics of Rooney warming up in todays game wearing his KROOF T shirt and Ferdy not wearing it. Ferdy has more influence in the game if he got off his twitter and actually DID something!
Super_horns Posted 20 October 2012 Posted 20 October 2012 Fergie Jnr will be ripping his hair out at his player who fouled our player running away from goal in the 90th minute.
MooseBreath Posted 20 October 2012 Posted 20 October 2012 Can't wait for ferdinand to retire and just **** off out of the public eye forever. He really is one of the biggest tossers in sport. If he thinks he can do better than those campaigners then maybe he should join them and show them how to do it. Instead he sulks like a petulant spoiled little child. Aww rio, you're so hard done to aren't you likke baby. Surely one of the most pathetic victimisation complexes in the entire history of the world. I hope when fergi says he'll be dealt with he means he'll deal with it by ending his career.
