chili_con_carne Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 I know it's Kasabian and everything but it really has become boring now! I'm for having no goal music, but if they insist I think the best one is the one played throughout the euros and at bayern Munich. White stripes. This I'm on fire song is just awful! Opinions?
Babylon Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 I can honestly say I don't even notice it anymore... perhaps with 12 goals in three home games I have just become immune to it.
Jimmy Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 if we must have some then keep this but i'd prefer none
Voll Blau Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 if we must have some then keep this but i'd prefer none
The Doctor Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 What Jimmy said - If I had my way goal music would be consigned to the dustbin of history, but if we must have it, let's at least have something from a local band, something that actually has a connection with the club.
chili_con_carne Posted 11 December 2012 Author Posted 11 December 2012 At the end of the day who cares that Kasabian are a local band? The song isn't motivational and does not go at all. At least the song played at bayern gets the fans going and you can sing along to it.

Let's make our own noise again please.

Ultimately I hate the idea of goal music, it does nothing for atmosphere - but if we're going to have to put up with it then surely it's worth having something unique, something that has a connection with the club, rather than just going with what everyone else does, like when we had chelsea ****ing dagger.
Kitchandro Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 Nobody's sung along to that goal music since about the third week it was played. It's terrible for singing along to. There's no ifs or buts for me, we shouldn't have any goal music, I don't 'prefer' any song, regardless of where the band is from, it simply shouldn't be played. I do like the goal horn, nothing wrong with that but it should be the old version we used to hear on the radio before it was jazzed up.
LCFCCHRIS Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 Are you sure we still have it? Literally not noticed it for ages
Larry_LCFC Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 How many times does this need discussing? Goal music won't be scrapped just because a few people moan about it on a forum. It doesnt stop you making your own noise. Just ignore it if it offends you so much.
MattyFromLE Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 At least our current goal music has something Leicester related. I would prefer no goal music, but would stick with this one at a compromise.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 I'm pretty certain there wasn't any goal music on Saturday.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 The volume has been turned well down, maybe not all over that stadium but deffinatly in K1.
Bugg Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 I was in SK2 and I honestly don't remember hearing any music on Saturday.
Karljohn Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 There was music for the 2nd goal on Saturday not sure about the first. I remember going to Wimbledon in the mid 90s when they played at Selhurst and they had "Corner Music" aswell as Goal Music. Truly awful. If we do have to have goal music then my suggestion is "silence is golden" in keeping with the atmosphere at the King Power.

I swear there was some club who used to use an old air raid siren whenever they got a corner kick I can't remember who it was at all now though.
Fox92 Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 I've got to the point now where I don't care. As long as we score, I'll celebrate however I want.
Dan Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 Get rid of all goal music entirely. Americanisation at its finest.
TrentFox Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 Given our club's desire to attract families, how about Rudolpph The Red-Nosed Reindeer. To be replaced in the new year with the Birdie Song ??? That should work just fine.
Jace Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 Haven't been to a home game for ages but I'm on fire is just awful for it, if it has to be something Kasabian at least use Club Foot but best of all don't use anything
kingfox Posted 11 December 2012 Posted 11 December 2012 My suggestion Live while we're young by One Direction. Good beat, gets you dancing.

Ha that's brilliant, wouild love that if we were actually any good at corners.... perhaps the last post should play when we get a corner.
