It's going to be interesting with Rory. He's not a "live for golf" guy, and he seems to let down when he accomplishes something huge in his career. This year he's crossed off probably the  two biggest white whales on his golfing resume - will the fire still be there? Also, what impact will this horrendous week have on his relationship with US galleries in future? Like it or not, that matters.

Hojbjerg and Fitzpatrick definitely punching above their weight in those partner pics.

I wonder what attracted those partners to the multi millionaire golfers?

So apparently Rory's wife got a beer thrown at her yesterday. Rosie didn't even know that had happened so obviously didn't make a fuss about it. Yet the crowd were fine according to Keegan Bradley.

Squeaked home in the end, despite a dismal final day.

The yanks had chances to win EVERY singles game on the course, even the Åberg one.

But the lead Europe built-up on the first two days proved to be enough.

And given the toxic atmosphere, and the fact we entered the contest as heavy underdogs, the victory is still especially sweet.

Probably all the spare time they’d get away from them to get Leroy round lol

Fitzpatrick’s missus can obviously appreciate a good spreadsheet, and who can blame her

She's also quite partial to braces apparently

Glad we won outright. If we'd tied you'd never hear the end of Hovland withdrawing and getting half a point. Fortunately didn't make a difference.

Edit: I see Bradley has already started lol

That was the most traumatic 6 hours watching golf I think I've ever had and we've watched Rory try to win the Masters 15 odd times. Jesus wept that got horrendously close for comfort.

As I said before a ball as struck, the US crowds were horrific, they always are. They crossed a line this week in a HUGE way, summed up by "F**k you Rory" chants on the first tee. Let alone the fact that was started by a PGA official. Only in America, they are absolute cretins of the highest order. It's not 1% either.

But anyway, enough of that what about our boys in Blue. Absolutely wonderful again, the first two days will live long in the memory and the emotions of the third just shows what it means to them, to Europe and to go and do what they did on US soil was unbelievable. Unreal each and every one of them and the size of them space hoppers between Shane Lowry's legs, some bottle that is.

Does Luke go again? I don't see why not but also I get the feeling once you've done home and away, you probably stop there? Feels like we've got a strong line up of captains to come as well. Whoever does it has a hell of an act to follow!

Anyway, its inspired me to go shank a couple of 6 irons today at some point, shoot 89 and sit on the sofa for the rest of the day grumpy that I don't even have 1% of the ability of those European lads. Viva Europe! 🇪🇺

Journalist: "How satisfying is it to turn around to someone and say, 'Shut the f--- up,' and then stiff it to two feet?"

Rory: "Very ****ing satisfying".

One of the best things that come from major events like this, and Augusta this year with Rory doing the CGS is the inspiration it can give for youngsters to get involved in the sport

Since the pandemic it’s already on a level I’ve not known it before, helped by YouTube golf too. But golf is no longer seen as an old man’s sport and it’s become cool for kids to get involved in.

Seen it at my course this summer- sign your kid up for £80 a year and it’s free childcare pretty much (that presented a few other issues etc) Likewise on the driving ranges, there’s always some young lads or kids down there
