iamafox Posted 27 January 2013 Posted 27 January 2013 What a shocker from one of our former academy products... http://www.bbc.co.uk...otland/21224971
Harry - LCFC Posted 27 January 2013 Posted 27 January 2013 It's too far in front of him to hit it first time so he has to take a touch which is a poor one, again because it's too far in front of hiim. It's bad obviously but I've seen much worse.

It's bad obviously but I've seen much worse. But all has to do is get some sort of forward movement on the ball, even the merest prod towards goal and it's in.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 27 January 2013 Posted 27 January 2013 I'm ashamed to say I've done worse. Last week at football I had one of those where you air shot with your right and the ball hits the standing leg and rolls tamely to the keeper's feet I'm usually pretty decent I swear!
Soar Fox Posted 27 January 2013 Posted 27 January 2013 I was expecting it to see something shockingly bad. I doubt that would make a top 100 of bad misses let alone a miss of all time. Anyone who has played before knows it's a split second decision he's got to make he obviously doesn't think he'll be able to get enough on it to toe it in so he's took a touch which is a really bad first touch.
Captain... Posted 27 January 2013 Posted 27 January 2013 It's bad, but the BBC is saying it could be the worst miss ever which is clearly bollocks, Kanu's miss is still one of the most spectacular. That is just impossible, I couldn't do that if I tried.
Harry - LCFC Posted 27 January 2013 Posted 27 January 2013 But all has to do is get some sort of forward movement on the ball, even the merest prod towards goal and it's in. I know, it's a really bad miss but it isn't the worst I've seen. It isn't a simple "put the ball in the net" situation, he does have a very small amount of work to do but he does it very badly.
acooling08 Posted 27 January 2013 Posted 27 January 2013 He has a pretty good record for them as well, but yeah he has had a shocker there. No where near the worst ever though.
Father Ted Posted 27 January 2013 Posted 27 January 2013 To be fair, he did well to recover from the fcuk up and set his teammate up.

It isn't a simple "put the ball in the net" situation, he does have a very small amount of work to do but he does it very badly. Oh it's not the worst I've seen, but he really has no excuse for taking a touch, which is what you said in your first post. This is the worst miss ever.
HEGGSY Posted 27 January 2013 Posted 27 January 2013 Oh it's not the worst I've seen, but he really has no excuse for taking a touch, which is what you said in your first post. This is the worst miss ever. How. The. ****.

This is the worst miss ever. It's in front of him and there'd have been a risk of hitting it wide if he had hit it first time, therefore he has good reason for taking a touch.
Kitchandro Posted 27 January 2013 Posted 27 January 2013 It's pretty shocking miss lets be honest. But there is no worst miss ever, I've seen hundreds when they've been no more than a yard out and put it either wide or over. You can't get worse than that. At least this bloke was a few yards out.
Carl the Llama Posted 27 January 2013 Posted 27 January 2013 Not a chance that's too far in front for a comfortable side-footer. Whatever was going through his head I don't think anyone will ever know. But there have been worse, for instance this is bad: And this is probably even worse: I think someone at the BBC doesn't like Inverness.
The Blur Posted 27 January 2013 Posted 27 January 2013 BBC are being over-dramatic- it is obviously his team-mate whose Billy setted up who committed that miss (!)
Fox92 Posted 28 January 2013 Posted 28 January 2013 Not that bad, and maybe not as bad as one of my favourite's... ?
Fox in the North Posted 28 January 2013 Posted 28 January 2013 My favourite of all time The radio commentary afterwards is brilliant
AKCJ Posted 28 January 2013 Posted 28 January 2013 That radio commentary is Stringer-esque. He'd be proud of that.
Finnegan Posted 28 January 2013 Posted 28 January 2013 Pains me to say it but I'm pretty sure Iwan Roberts has done worse than anything in this thread.
SystonFox Posted 28 January 2013 Posted 28 January 2013 Kanu. Ronnie Rosenthal. Cristiano Ronaldo. All of the above are worse, McKay wasnt even that bad he didnt miss a gaping open goal did he? The Bbc have way over dramatised it
Kitchandro Posted 28 January 2013 Posted 28 January 2013 Not that bad, and maybe not as bad as one of my favourite's... ? Arphexad and Muggleton in goal!
