Wozzler Posted 24 February 2013 Posted 24 February 2013 Progress or not. Keeping up with the jones' or not. Whatever!! If people don't like the way they are treated at a game at which they pay good money to watch, then its simple, they won't go. I'm not paying to watch advertisement distract me from a game whether Manu Arsenal or Wigan have got them or not. It's just another kick in the teeth along with expensive / timely refreshments, lack of atmos, stupid kick off times, amongst other corporate bollocks. I just want to watch leicester and enjoy it and at the minute all of these little annoying things are adding up and completely did-enhancing the experience. I've got a season ticket and I really can't be ****ed to go a watch them against Blackburn. Someone complained on here that they got a headache watch the game against Charlton / Hudds. Why do people have a go at these people?? Why the **** would u go and watch something that gives u a headache?? It gave me a headache too and I'm ****ing totally ****ing well ****ing sick of the ****ing **** for ****s ****ing sake!
glen parva fox Posted 24 February 2013 Posted 24 February 2013 Can see both sides here, I'm sure sat match days would be ok, night games need to turn brightness down for different reasons mainly health grounds I assume epilepsy being one of them.
Kitchandro Posted 24 February 2013 Posted 24 February 2013 To be honest, even tho Leicester are doing well this season, I'm getting so ****ed off at home games, I've got to the point where I don't look forward to going any more. I've supported Leicester since 82 and have prob had about 15 season tickets. They made zero ****ing effort to replicate the atmosphere of Filbert Street. I 'stand'in Block L, but we get out sung by away fans most of the time. Classic example, Palace. Embarrassing. For gods sake, move the ****ing kop next to the away fans. Problem solved. As for those ridiculous advertising boards..... I understand why they're need to have them when ur paying £10m+ a year in wages but I spent £500 on a season ticket to watch leicester and against Charlton on Tues, all I could focus on was shifty stupid ****ing adverts. I don't want to see them at a football match. If I was watch in tv, fair enough, but not at the live game. The third thing that really gets on my nerves is having to wait 25 to get served at half time. If they're so keen on making money, why don't they employ more staff (or staff with a bit more urgency would be nice) and sell more stuff in a shorter space of time. I'm so annoyed, I really don't know if I can be arsed to go on Tuesday v Blackburn.its getting pathetic and is mo longer the former enjoyable day / evening out I used to look forward to. Yeh, as if it's that simple. As much as I do believe the club haven't helped (and sometimes opposed) us creating an atmosphere, if everyone in L and K sang their hearts out (as we have done occassionally at our ground) almost all away sections would be outsung. People need to stop obsessing over the word 'Kop'. It's pretty meaningless in most modern grounds.

And just how many Saturday games are you planning to go and watch in the future ? has this season taught you nothing ?
The Year Of The Fox Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 you guys where you been hiding for the past 5 years? Its normal now for non tinpot clubs to have these boards, and I have been embarrased we were still using wooden ones, relieved now we moved into modern advertising, and I like the bright lights, looks awesome on a night game. I think this blokes on the wind up
flowwolf Posted 25 February 2013 Posted 25 February 2013 Yeh, as if it's that simple. The younger posters have derided the older posters on here for saying how great the atmosphere was years ago, well welcome to modern football with no atmosphere manufactured matchday " experience " and fvck you attitude from your club.

I pretty much agree with everything I think you've said! Despite our great season so far I'm getting hugley fckued off with home games. The atmosphere in L Block, the lights, the shite service in the concourse, the whole matchday experience. Its bollocks. The only thing (though the biggest thing for me) the club can't help is the lack of atmosphere in l and K. It's utterly wank. Yeh its not a very indepth assessment of the situation, but its all I can really be arsed to say. I don't know if the fans who came over this season read this forum -if they do it falls on deaf ears- but they're the culprits. Far too many people stood with their phones glued to their noses. Are we the only game on tomorrow night? If they've no need for their phone to be out we may get a half decent atmosphere.
lcfcsnow Posted 26 February 2013 Posted 26 February 2013 Looks like the brightness has been toned down, much better.
theessexfox Posted 26 February 2013 Posted 26 February 2013 Looks like the brightness has been toned down, much better. You'd expect it of course, but fair play to the club.
Mark_w Posted 26 February 2013 Posted 26 February 2013 They were much better tonight, was critical of the club but had no issue with the advertising boards today.
Johnny Cash Posted 26 February 2013 Posted 26 February 2013 They were too dull and now I have a headache... Coincidence? I think not!
The Year Of The Fox Posted 26 February 2013 Posted 26 February 2013 Much better today didn't notice them
Larry_LCFC Posted 26 February 2013 Posted 26 February 2013 The club have sorted it straight away so fair play to them. All the moaning people did calling them a disgrace without even giving them a chance to rectify it is laughable.
Dan Posted 26 February 2013 Author Posted 26 February 2013 They've been dimmed down but I still think the principle of them is appalling. Didn't notice them as much tonight though.
Arkie Bennett Posted 27 February 2013 Posted 27 February 2013 The club have sorted it straight away so fair play to them. All the moaning people did calling them a disgrace without even giving them a chance to rectify it is laughable. Laughable to a dimwit maybe, but people had a perfectly reasonable complaint which only a fool would belittle. Personally, I didn't call them a disgrace, so to lump all the complainants together is ridiculous. Obviously the club treated the complaints as valid because they made changes that on the whole did work.
gregdj Posted 27 February 2013 Posted 27 February 2013 on a similar vein, I went to a 'disco bar' the other night, the music was all 'boom boom boom' and very loud with no nice melody, it wasn't at all like the old days when the groups of nice young black boys wore sparkly suits and all did the same dance.
Babylon Posted 27 February 2013 Posted 27 February 2013 The club have sorted it straight away so fair play to them. All the moaning people did calling them a disgrace without even giving them a chance to rectify it is laughable. You think they'd have changed them had people not moaned? They would have tested them and clearly deemed the light show fine.
cambridgefox Posted 27 February 2013 Posted 27 February 2013 You think they'd have changed them had people not moaned? They would have tested them and clearly deemed the light show fine. Agreed,it would have been tested and probably marketing and advertising would have put it to the highest setting, for their best interests.Yet after complaints they changed it.Tell me,if no one had moaned why would they have felt the need to change it.
AnotherShitSeason Posted 27 February 2013 Posted 27 February 2013 on a similar vein, I went to a 'disco bar' the other night, the music was all 'boom boom boom' and very loud with no nice melody, it wasn't at all like the old days when the groups of nice young black boys wore sparkly suits and all did the same dance. Get a strongly worded letter of complaint straight in mate. Only way.
Ross-Kemp Posted 27 February 2013 Posted 27 February 2013 Wozzler ! Blaming the club for not having the same atmosphere as filbert street is probably one of the worst things I've read on here.
marbelladave Posted 27 February 2013 Posted 27 February 2013 I think they are disgraceful in principle, just awful. If I had a choice I would go elsewhere, in much the same way as I avoid Irish 'themed' pubs. Sadly there is only one Leicester City........
glen parva fox Posted 27 February 2013 Posted 27 February 2013 Well done LCFC changed the settings after complaints, no problem.
lcfcmatt93 Posted 27 February 2013 Posted 27 February 2013 Glad to see LCFC go all modern. Makes the ground look more professional and also makes the ground ready for the Premier League.
flowwolf Posted 27 February 2013 Posted 27 February 2013 The club have sorted it straight away so fair play to them. All the moaning people did calling them a disgrace without even giving them a chance to rectify it is laughable. And anyone accepting this load of shite advertisment that is in your face when you have paid to watch football is laughable. Some of you mugs will put up with anything , just shrug your shoulders and try to convince yourself it's for the best, well it isn't. Wozzler ! Blaming the club for not having the same atmosphere as filbert street is probably one of the worst things I've read on here. And your alternative suggestion is what ?
Ricey Posted 27 February 2013 Posted 27 February 2013 Glad to see LCFC go all modern. Makes the ground look more professional and also makes the ground ready for the Premier League. I'm all for modern, but we seem to implement these things half-arsed. The King Power advert was so stuttery it was distracting, not to mention not aligned properly which pissed my graphic design eye right off! Shame they can't operate the video screens properly either. Last night they missed quite a few replays, went off altogether for a bit and the time was missing for a while as well. It's great we've got video screens, but please for the love of god move the time into the top left corner and put the score in the top right. Also, don't show the replays at stuttery slow motion, it makes it impossible to gauge how powerful a shot was. Sack the board!
