Pearson In/Out

When Morgan was sent off I said it was an excuse for the players, for the fans, e.t.c we'd go on to lose and the ref would be blamed.

As far as the players are concerned I was wrong, they did have abit of a spirted performance (Some players did anyway).

The fans? Well I'd say I was right saying they'd use it as an excuse, fans are certainly talking about it, pointing fingers are it, some are questioning it, it's certain the discussion overshaddowing the game with some pointing fingers and blame at the ref for another loss.

I heard the caller.

I looked at Pearson when Millwall scored, he did turn around but I obviously cannot see what he said from the Kop. Is this what the caller, and you, are referring too? I'm sure someone will put it on youtube.

Plus, 'were finished' could just mean for the game.

Anyone else think that Pearson was having a huge sign of relief when Morgan was sent off? It relieved pressure on him massively!

No.

Gutting to be let down like that after the past fortnight's work.

Knocked us for 6 for the first half.

Nige got em together at halftime & got a performance out of everyone in second half except Drinks, Schlupp & Wood, who were all dire throughout.

Just a quick question on yet another depressing night.

One fan ring in after the game and said Pearson turned to Shakespeare and said "we're finished".

Anyone watching the game at home see this? I'm doubting its true but thought if ask as it never got answered on the phones.

He didn't. But he is.

Yes I saw this, he definitely seemed to say 'finished' although I think it is a stretch to say 'we're finished', and even if he did, he could possibly be referring to the fact that the game was finished (millwall had just scored), rather than the gigantic leap to 'that's it craig, we are getting fired'.

Yup, we've taken the curse of "the manager of the month" to a new level I think! :(:pearson:

There really has been some ill-conceived stuff written on here this season.

Certain people were suggesting we were 'morons' for posting anything that resembled criticism of Pearson. Others exclaimed 'knee-jerk reactions'. Still others, only two weeks ago were still, ridiculously, stating that we could grab the second spot.

Well, the chickens appear to have come home to roost fellas. We could still sneak a top 6 spot, but if we do so, it will be have been done messily, with little guile or craft or zeal. This is such a shame, given the way the season was going and, with a couple of really well thought out January transfers, we could have probably done it at a canter.

Having watched this garbage for the past few weeks I really don't want another season of it.

I agree with the majority- it's too late now to change Pearson... It should have been done two weeks ago if it was gonna happen. But something needs to change in the summer.

For me, the problem was NEVER going to be about effort... Pearson's sides usually have that in abundance. Even the last few games before Millwall weren't about a lack of trying. Instead, it was obvious that the players were completely frustrated by the tactics they were playing.

No, it's about real quality at this level. We have some, but just not enough IMO. And haven't had since the summer. I'm really really surprised that Pearson still hasn't sorted out the midfield, for instance.

Spot on! He's just reached a ceiling, simple as that. Any one who has dared to say this for the past 5 months or so has been shot down.

The red card simply masked the fact that millwall were opening us up at will anyway! The owners made a mistake not dumping him two weeks ago.

Give the guy a break, people suggesting he engineered the red card hinself now ffs.

Im no pearson fan but using last night as a stick to beat him is just plain rediculous. As a leicester fan that kind of performance is what i want to see, not the result obviously. I loved the grit and determination on show and i feel for them that they got nothing out of the game.

We might aswel give pearson to the end of the season now as a new boss cant really make much impact with the loan market closed, lets get behind them for last 7 games and hope the can repeat the steel shown last night we might still sneak in.

Teams which sack managers as soon as the going gets tough tend to fail.

Teams which persevere through the tough times tend to reap the benefits of stability.

NP is building a mostly young team which, for a period, was playing some fantastic stuff earlier this season. When we were 2nd in the league, people were raving about how high the quality of the football was. Admittedly, it has gone pair shaped in 2013 and there has been a lack of application and skill and yes, some bad luck, but as of now we remain perfectly capable of getting a playoff spot.

We would get nowhere sacking a manager and bringing in a new guy at this stage of the season. What purpose would that serve?

As such, I say "stick", see what happens, support the team and re-asess in the Summer.

I don't wanna say I told you so but I was right about holloway too ...

You also said that we could make the playoffs if Pearson goes...

Nope I said we'll make the play offs but not go up. 6th place wasn't what our owners wanted. He failed us last seasons.I told people in January after the Huddersfield away game in the cup, He should had been sacked then.

He got us to the top of the table with only 17 games to go. The players deserve a massive amount of criticism for what I would say was complacency and a lack of concentration. Would you be saying the same thing if we were in the play-off final? Because had that penalty gone in that's where I feel we would have lost. The owners will be aware of the levels of spending of other clubs this season and realistically we aren't in with much of a shot of automatics. Have some faith in our manager
